I saw this Call of Duty: Black Ops trailer in which a sniper gets bombed after a remote controlled model car strapped with a bomb device (cute, ain't it?) got him. So I'm confused now. Are snipers supposed to camp?

The pros that use the Barrett are far more skilled than those with the Intervention. To get one shot one kills with the Barrett it's necessary to headshot whereas with semi-auto sniper rifles the player can shoot practically anywhere and kill instantly. If you're quickscoping however, always use a semi-auto sniper because you can't be sure you're always going to get a headshot.

Again, no pros use a barrett. It is impossible to have pros on MW2, put simply.

Now, on CoD4 promod, bolt-action sniper only, and if you tried scoring a headshot on one of them, it would be pretty impossible, even on MW2, they wouldn't need tactics and could take on anyone on MW2, again, put simply.
MW2 isn't competitive enough and thus is quite hard to gain skill from. etc.

MW2 is one of the most annoying and glitched games Iv ever played on the sweatbox. COD4 had its share of lag, glitches and problems but MW2 seems to have double. Not saying its a bad game, but Im done with it. Battlefield BC all the way. Tho my xbox is dead again! so no play for me.

Anyway, I could go on and on about the probs with MW2 but I wont.

I only played hardcore on MW2 as I hated always getting the 1st shot in and dying from sustained fire. I was never amazing at tracking but I can flick to a target instantly. On hardcore I dont have the problem of health so the EBR was fantastic.

That's another thing, Hardcore doesn't really take as much skill either, so (and I know u weren't talking about this) skill is also hard to get in a game of find-you-kill-you, no exceptions, you will rarely get people who can snap around and shoot them.

Anyway.

I don't like killcams anyway, it reveals your position on larger maps (on BFBC2, usually), it is a pretty unfair advantage to a stealthy player.

True, true, and true.
Yet, based on CoD: Black Ops, the main players will be CoD4 players or a few MW2 players, and they lack teamwork, most often.
The ProModers will go to the ProMod, the Freeze Taggers (CoD4 on PC) will go to stay on it. The Obscurity will stay on it, and if it's Xbox most CoD players will move to that game.

What I usually do is change locations every five kills or so. I hate it when someone camps (especially if we are talking about MW2 thermal scope users) lol.

Every 5 kills might work, some people don't bother taking out a sniper at a strategic position because they can't be bothered doing the hassle, etc.
Or they just can't reach you! :P
FutureUSMC2011, I recommend you do it every, say, 3 kills. It's more reliable for a killstreak.

I Prefer to camp, But when I get run up on, I can get an epic no scope or two. But yes, The reason they are called snipers(Marksman) is their ability to pick somebody off from a ½mile or more away.

Not a mile, 1000 yards / metres is often the effective range of a sniper, and maximum range. It'll be shorter usually, especially in a firefight between other people. They will need to be close enough to not worry about travel time on a serious degree, but far enough to remain undetected.

Yes and no. They are supposed to camp long enough to fulfill an objective and then relocate, unless you prefer a bullet in your own head. But mainly yes, they are supposed to camp.
