The thing that makes me choose the God of Abraham over any other Gods is my personal relationship with him, and the demonstrations told about in the Bible, where the God of Israel triumphs over the other gods. I can't argue with what you've experience, but I know that God has worked in my life.

This means that:
1. You believe other gods exist(ed).
2. You think that the Bible is impartial(I think that's the right word)

If you saw a man who had just murdered your best friends, and committed unspeakable evil, and had spent his entire life trying to commit all the evil he could. Plus, this is in about 3000 BC, and there is no such thing as a police officer. What would you do? Most people then would have killed him. The "genocide" God committed was for a reason, against unarguably evil people, and that kind of stuff happened all the time in those times.

Yeah, about that, God's punishments aren't always fair.

If AG locked religious arguments, that would be inhibiting freedom of speech.

They were debating locking it because it was a duplicate thread, not because it was religious. Cool down.

The Abrahamic God definitely beat the other gods, in terms of followers. Of course, that's probably because he had the followers of the other gods killed but uh...where was I going with this again?

I think one of the reasons why people don't believe in God is that they don't believe in the arguments the Christians have for believing in God. Their arguments only really make sense if you already are a believer.

This picture is more convincing than your arguments.

There are plenty of children who have personal relationships with imaginary friends. But that doesn't make them any more real then any one else's imaginary friend.

The same can be said for Zeus. There was also a time when the Olympian pantheon was regarded as being just as real as you regard God now.

So neither of these reasons really makes your God any more or less credible then any other, as others can make the same or similar claims to their respective deities.

if jesus does exist, he is one sick twisted arse. while some say that jesus has done miracles for them and their family, thousands more go hungry, die painfull meaningless deaths, and go homeless throughout the world. if jesus did exist, playing favourite's and tampering with people's lives, he is one sick twisted arse-hole.

^No one has ever seen God or has any proof of Him, that's why it's called a belief, and I believe that God is the creator of all things, of all that is good. He sent His son to earth as man to save us, people who constantly disobey His will. Jesus sacrificed Himself on the cross for everyone. If you don't think He's that cool, then watch The Passion of the Christ. If people looked around them, and looked over all the things they don't have, they would see how good they have it. Whenever I have a problem, I pray and in one way or another the Lord answers my prayer in one way or another.

this is what is fed into your mind day in and day out until you believe it enough to fight for it then you are set free upon the world to spread lies. although i may not believe in god, i do know that the devil is all that is evil and wrong. not that he exists, just that he is true evil. after you are fed this dribble, you go around shouting that "the devil embodies human enjoyment" when he really embodies pain and suffering. spread your lies elsewhere.

Satan was cast down to hell after he disobeyed the will of God. If you "love" the devil so much, then do you want to go to hell? I would rather live in the paradise of heaven then be eternally dead. One last thing...tell me, what good has the devil ever brought to you?
