I believe that Jesus Christ was the Son of God and died on the cross for all our sins and did miracles his whole life.

What do you believe, and why?

But those people may be the purest of soul and have what is good in Heaven.

who is to judge me? Maybe i was good for someone and bad for someone else. God would make this difference? which means I would be good and bad? I would go between heaven and hell? heaven and hell...haha what simple minded thinking! What is good and bad in the end? People are so literal its pitiful. The afterlife isn't as simple as it looks.

^I'm not a Baptist. I think what they did is horrible and when I first heard about that, I was outraged. Don't forget though, just because someone believes in God doesn't make them good and just bacause someone doesn't believe in God doesn't make them bad.

1.The church gets no fixed income or salary as their main supply of money is through donations.

Right, just like the LDS Church requires 10% of their members' income as tithings. Totally donated without any other reason than compassion!

2.If they give all their money to the poor, what about the people who struggle with life threatening diseases?

Donate to them too, with the money you could save from not being in the church!

You doubt the power of God? If you pray hard enough you won't ever need modern medicine.

What is this obsession with money about? When we die, money could matter less.

^Also, I'm not a Latter Day Saint, I'm a Catholic.
I am not responsible for the decisions others choose to make. I can't tell you that you must believe in God and likewise you can't tell me that there is no God and I must become an atheist.

That explains why no one ever died of diseases in the past, like, say, the 14th century, when almost everyone was religious!
[/Sarcasm]
What I'm trying to say with this post is that science, and medicine, has performed more miracles during this last century than God has during the history of mankind.

And @deserteagle, I know you were being sarcastic, I am not a moron, this post isn't aimed at you.

All I know is that I have seen God do miracles in my life and my families lives, that cannot be coincidences.

No, you've seen probabilities that are in your favour. Of course not understanding the probabilities you went with the only logic explanation you could make is that it's god's doing. Thus making your life simple and not having to think about the complexity of the world.

Also how do you explain the fact that the people who claim to be the closest to god, yet do horrible things? Aren't there jokes about two priest and a young boy between them?

I personally don't have a problem with the church but it seems to me that they have trouble following their principles for the past few century's.

Yes, medicine is good. It helps people become well, and God has never said medicine was bad. What he was saying was that the people who are the strongest in faith trust Him enough as an example. Personally, I trust God, but I think he would want me to have medicine.

This is true, but we only have one life and money improves it.

^Also, I'm not a Latter Day Saint, I'm a Catholic.

It's still a religion.

I never said you have to become an atheist. If you don't want to debate, leave the debating forum.

Is that really true? Does looking at a pile of money really bring you joy? It seems as if the more money people have, the less happy they are.
It's still a religion.

Are you saying I protested at the veteran's funeral?

No, I just want to be clear on what I have to say.

Well, if you obey God he won't send plague upon you.
And as for God's medicine?
All you have to do is sacrifice a lamb, and your skin disease? Gone!

Are you saying I protested at the veteran's funeral?

No. You are not a member of Westboro Baptist.
You seem to think I'm talking about you personally. I'm not. I'm talking about religion as a whole.

Sure, whatever. So go donate all your money to someone and live as a hobo, you'll be happier! Or better yet, donate it to me!
Pay attention to this!

*Looks at happy fat middle class-rich American family than looks at a malnourished family in Africa*

Yeah, don't they look happy lying on there deathbeds?

And why don't you give all your stuff away, like Jeebuz told you to? I mean you are supposed to follow him, correct?

Did I ever say...?
As a Christian, I go out every day and give all my money to hobos so I can be one too! If I don't, God will punish me and I will go to hell for being greedy

I meant that money doesn't make you happy. You may be thinking something like "You buy something...duh.", but you can't tell me that whenever you buy something, you don't get bored with it or want something better.

Okay, first there is no "Jeebuz", it's Jesus.
Second, He never said to give all your stuff away, He said to share it with others.
