But those people may be the purest of soul and have what is good in Heaven.
who is to judge me? Maybe i was good for someone and bad for someone else. God would make this difference? which means I would be good and bad? I would go between heaven and hell? heaven and hell...haha what simple minded thinking! What is good and bad in the end? People are so literal its pitiful. The afterlife isn't as simple as it looks.
^I'm not a Baptist. I think what they did is horrible and when I first heard about that, I was outraged. Don't forget though, just because someone believes in God doesn't make them good and just bacause someone doesn't believe in God doesn't make them bad.
^Also, I'm not a Latter Day Saint, I'm a Catholic. I am not responsible for the decisions others choose to make. I can't tell you that you must believe in God and likewise you can't tell me that there is no God and I must become an atheist.
You doubt the power of God? If you pray hard enough you won't ever need modern medicine
That explains why no one ever died of diseases in the past, like, say, the 14th century, when almost everyone was religious! [/Sarcasm] What I'm trying to say with this post is that science, and medicine, has performed more miracles during this last century than God has during the history of mankind.
And @deserteagle, I know you were being sarcastic, I am not a moron, this post isn't aimed at you.
All I know is that I have seen God do miracles in my life and my families lives, that cannot be coincidences.
No, you've seen probabilities that are in your favour. Of course not understanding the probabilities you went with the only logic explanation you could make is that it's god's doing. Thus making your life simple and not having to think about the complexity of the world.
Also how do you explain the fact that the people who claim to be the closest to god, yet do horrible things? Aren't there jokes about two priest and a young boy between them?
I personally don't have a problem with the church but it seems to me that they have trouble following their principles for the past few century's.

Yes, medicine is good. It helps people become well, and God has never said medicine was bad. What he was saying was that the people who are the strongest in faith trust Him enough as an example. Personally, I trust God, but I think he would want me to have medicine.
What is this obsession with money about? When we die, money could matter less.
This is true, but we only have one life and money improves it.
^Also, I'm not a Latter Day Saint, I'm a Catholic.
It's still a religion.

I never said you have to become an atheist. If you don't want to debate, leave the debating forum.

Sure, whatever. So go donate all your money to someone and live as a hobo, you'll be happier! Or better yet, donate it to me!
Did I ever say...?
As a Christian, I go out every day and give all my money to hobos so I can be one too! If I don't, God will punish me and I will go to hell for being greedy
I meant that money doesn't make you happy. You may be thinking something like "You buy something...duh.", but you can't tell me that whenever you buy something, you don't get bored with it or want something better.
