as a pats fan, i must say that brady is better. and not just becuz of that, but several other factors as well.
playoff records
brady: 14-4
manning: 9-9
rings
Brady: 3
manning: 1
brady has won 3 rings with no-name WRs, he has the TD record when he finally got a good WR in moss, he has turned welker from no-name to a pro-bowler, his career rating is just 0.1 lower than that of manning's which so many manning fans love to fluant, and brady is being best right about now, and overall there avg stats are about the same. want proof? read em and weep manning fans.
i did this by taking away the 2010 season stats except for QB rating, then dividing it by the # of seasons they have played as a starter
brady: 3855 yds 7.4 YPA 28 TDs 12 Ints 63.6% Comp% QB Rating 94.7
manning: 4177 yds 7.6 YPA 30 TDs 15 Ints 64.9% Comp% QB Rating 94.9

if you ask me, these stats are overall similar, and when u throw in 3 Rings 14-4 vs 1 ring and 9-9, i would have to say that overall brady is better

GO PATS AND BRADY!

You can't just say that because that's your favorite team. Look at the stats you posted.
brady: 3855 yds 7.4 YPA 28 TDs 12 Ints 63.6% Comp% QB Rating 94.7
manning: 4177 yds 7.6 YPA 30 TDs 15 Ints 64.9% Comp% QB Rating 94.9
From the look of it Manning is better than Brady.

I personally don't like any football team. I do watch football and I like it. I just don't have a favorite team.
Read this article.

This is a good one too.

Overall after reading these too Peyton Manning is overall better then Tom Brady.

Should be in Tavern.

This year: Brady > Manning
All time: Manning > Brady

I still feel like Tom Horrific is the most pampered player in the NFL. I'm a huge Jets fan and that loss last Monday was horrible to me, and Brady's a great player, but him getting injured in 2008 showed that anybody can play QB for New England. God, I hate Brady, and I hate Manning too.

Here's your problem. You're biased. When you look at it the Colts are not as good a team as the Patriots. Oh sure a few years ago the Colts were a force to be reckoned with, alas that time has come and gone. Now, I prefer the Flacons myself, but that's neither here not there. However, Manning has only one ring because he plays for a team that isn't as good as the Pats. Brady has 3 because he plays for a team that is better off overall. Yet, despite this, Manning has better stats. I'm going to have to say Manning is better.

aahh but consider this. he has edgerrin james and marshall faulk at RB. then u take into consideration that his WRs have almost always been better than brday's, and he throws it more as well on avg, of course he's going to have better stats. although trust me, they arent by the degree people would think they are if u compare avg vs whole career, which is completly unfair to brday since he has played 4 seasons fewer.

A few problems here:
The Colts don't have that much of running game, Marshall Faulk retired like 5 years ago. His receivers are better because he puts the ball perfectly in their hands and always throws to the open man. He made his receivers Pro-Bowlers, and Brady was drafted in 2000 and started playing in 2001, while Manning was drafted in 1998 and put in as a starter, that's 3 seasons :/

uuuhh, i think ur missing the 08 season. brday was out for basiaclly the whole season unless u count 1 quarter as a full season. and the WR thing, sure man. then why cant he do that with these WRs? his QB Rating is hovering at 80 with these new WRs. brady is now working with woodhead, whom he didnt have last year and was cut by the jets, green ellis who was the 4th string RB, tate who wasnt there last seaosn, and if he was they didnt use him much, branch who was a no-one in seattle, and dont give me they played together b4 becuz they hadnt played toegther in 4 years.

You do realize averaging things places their stats on an equal playing field? Or did we forget simple statistical math? Point and case you're biased, and really I think this discussion is over.

dude, think of it like this. if brday played 12 seasons vs what he has so far, his #s would be a lot closer than they r now.

I have to agree with Wolf on this matter...you seem to be biased. If you're comparing teams, then I would say the Patriots are better nowadays(though I hate them). However, if you are comparing individuals like Brady v. Manning, you would look at the personal stats. And the persona stats show that Manning is better.
How many games you have played is irrelevant...ever heard of a mean?

Having watched both of them play many times I would have to say Manning is better. Just from watching him you can tell he has a better understanding of the game, he is constantly calling audibles that result in big plays.

And who do you think is more important to their respective teams? I can see the pats still having a great season without brady. But if something were to happen to peyton manning I think the colts would fall apart.

Actually, records. If I look in the NFL Records/Hall of Fame, I see things like passing yards, rushing TDs, completions, etc. Not: Most Rings: Blah bla bla. Sure, its nice to have rings, but an average-joe QB can just as easily get one with a good team.

I'd have to hand it to Manning. His team isn't the best, and seeing the numbers he still manages to pull off is quite amazing. Brady is good, but Manning is simpler.

Ofcourse, as I'm a Pittsburgh Fan, I'd have to say Ben Rothelsburgher tops them all by a long shot.

Dan Marino. The guy's a legend, and went to the Super Bowl once, and lost. He had pretty much every single passing record ever (until Favre broke most of them) and he's still remembered for those stats, and people forgot that he never won the Super Bowl

But on the other hand, Donovan McNabb has the best winning percentage since 2000 and he's criticized for never winning the Super Bowl

okay listen up. manning avgs are barely better than brady's. manning has lost to brady multiple times in the playoffs. and both times when they met in the playoffs in the seaosn he won the MVP. and if brday is an avg joe QB, how is it that his QB Rating is 94.7? all of 0.2 pts lower than manning's?
plus, manning is a CHOKER. did u not see his games against the chargers in the playoffs? one of em, i forget which, he had 2 chances to score when down by 4. both times he cant score the TD. CHOKE. then 44, CHOKE PICK 6.
add to that brady is 8-4 vs manning, mannign is afiling this year after the whole "manning can take a guy off the street and make him a pro bowler", how he just threw 11 picks in 3 games, brady's great success, and the 14-4 vs 9-9 in the playoffs, brady is better.
