The 2011 Formula 1 season is now but 3 weeks away. Already there has been drama, with the cancelation of the Bahrain grand Prix. This season is shaping up to be great again though, with multiple teams in contention and plenty of great drivers, as well as the introduction of adjustable rear wings and the reintroduction of the KERS system. So, what do you think about the season. Until the season starts, this thread shall be for prediction and general pre-season discussion.
And as an extra, the current driver line-up for the season.

There's rain in the forecast for Saturday and Sunday in Montreal. Well in fact the circuit isn't in Montreal itself but on the Notre Dame Island (where Expo 67 took place) so it might be a slight different weather. I remember when the temperature was overwhelmingly hot in Montreal I would go there on bike and it was a little cooler since the Island is situated between the St-Lawrence River and the canal where the heavy boat traffic occurs. Anyway if it rains it's going to be tough for the drivers and exciting for us.
They got the forecast wrong because there was no rain during the practice session but there were 3 red flags and quite a few crashes.
I don't know if some of you noticed it but the stand were almost at full capacity and it's only on Friday. We can't say the same about those circuits at the other end of the World where nobody can afford a ticket because they have to work for a month to be able to pay for it. I think the FIA is run by a bunch of greedy people who know nothing about the sport.

It's that reason why the North American events are so well attended. They don't cost a fortune. When the U.S. had a race at Indy, the turnout was huge for an F1 race because it was so cheap, people from all over the world were coming to the race. It only looked so dismally attended because the stands were designed to hold the massive crowds of the 500.
If they keep Montreal and they add Austin it's going to be a hit. I'm pretty sure that a good part of the crowd in this Grand Prix is composed of Americans as well and more Canadians will be able to go to the US one. It's a win-win situation.
It does get boring watching the same guy win the pole over and over and over and over and over and over... I at least have something to cheer about in the performance of the Ferraris. It's good to see Felipe Massa finally get a good starting position again, and with Alonso up there as well, Vettel could be in a bit of a pickle at the start.

Yes and if one of them pass Vettel at the start, it should be very entertaining.
They are finally restarting the race after 2 hours of heavy rains and no conditions of race. The race was pretty interesting before it stopped and again Hamilton screwed his race and other people's race. Someone must give him some advice to make him stop.
I won't be able to see the rest of the race because the TV channel stopped it
This may have been the most exciting F1 race I've ever watched. And Vettel didn't win! YEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!1!11!!
I cannot believe that Vettel could make a mistake with the way he drives. But, I'm happy he did, and seeing Button's impressive race from being in a crash and being handed a drive through penalty to winning the race was great. I would have liked to have seen Schumaker make the podium as well, but at least it's good to see Schumi in his old form for once.

Vettel didn't win. Yes YEs YES!!!!! Button really deserved this win and for once, his driving style (smooth on tires)payed out. I'm also disappointed for Schumacher but his car was no match for both RedBull and Mclaren and I suspect that his tires were getting bad as well. If the circuit had stayed wet I think he would have won. It's a shame what happened to Alonso because he was doing great. Anyway what started as an awful GP turned out to be the most exciting race of the year. Wow!
Just can't believe Button made it. 2 crashes and 5 pit stops and he still won it. Amazing win and amazing race in general. The 2 hour stop worth the race. And Schumi made an excellent race, showing that he is not 'dead' yet.
Guess who got the pole again. > Something needs to change to stop Vettel from winning the pole every single race. Webber is starting second, which is a surprise with the way he's run the season. I would have again liked to have seen more out of the Ferrari's, but again, they don't prove to be spectacular.
I won't watch who is getting the pole on Saturday this year anymore. I don't have fun anymore . And it is good to see Weber in second, better competition on the first turn. And I am really looking forwad to see a Mclaren winning tomorow.
