In the Name of Allaah, the Beneficent, the Most Merciful

[ Say: Who is Allaah?"He is Allaah, {the} One. "Allaah us-Samad {self-Sufficient}. "He begets
not, nor was He begotten; "And there is none co-equal or comparable unto
Him."] Soorat Al Ikhlaas {112:1-4}

[Indeed your Lord is Allaah, Who created the heavens and the earth in Six
Days, and then He Istawa {rose over} the Throne {really in a manner that suits
His Majesty}. He brings the night as a cover over the day, seeking it rapidly, and
{He created} the sun, the moon, the stars subjected to His Command. Surely, His
is the Creation and Commandment. Blessed be Allaah, the Lord of the 'alameen
{mankind and jinns}!] Soorat Al A'raaf {7:54}

[ It is Allaah Who has sent down the Book {the Quraan} in truth, and the
Balance {i.e. to act justly}. And what can make you know that perhaps the Hour
is close at hand?] Soorat Ash Shura {42:17}

[ O mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person
{Adam}, and from him He created his wife, and from them both He created
many men and women and fear Allaah through Whom you demand your mutual
{rights}, and {do not cut the relations of} the wombs {kinship}. Surely, Allaah is
Ever an All-Watcher over you.] Soorat An Nisaa {4:1}

no............ Islam is quran, parts of the old testament, parts of the new testament (that havent been corrupted) nothing in the talmud because it was written by rabbi's, and since the hebrew bible/torah is the old testament, we also believe in some parts of that. The parts we believe: stories of the children of israel (some difference) jesus' life (some difference) but we dont believe in the trinity or anything like that. but you kinda had it right. thats the difference between christains jews and muslims. Jews and christians outright deny the quran (thus quran burning is born) while we dont deny there books, we believe it is corrupted but has SOME truth.

READ THE REAL TRUTH ABOUT JIHAD IN ISLAM ...

The Ruling of Suicide Bombing Operations which have
increased in Modern Times

By
Shaykh AbdusSallaam bin Salim bin Rajaâ as-Suhaymee
Translated by
Abbas Abu Yahya
Shaykh AbdusSallaam as-Suhaymee said:
âIndeed the issue of speaking about Suicide missions, is that whether the person
who is fought against, is he actually from the combatants, and that Jihad in
reality is facing the Kuf ar in a battle.
Suicide Missions have become a modern day fashion, and many people are
sympathetic with the one who carries it out by looking at the goal behind these
missions. The sympathetic person finds it sufficient from these missions that
the intent of executing these missions is to raise the statement of Tawheed, and
to aid Islaam and humble the Kuf ar as they claim.
However, what is the Shariaâ ruling regarding these Suicide Missions?
11[The Ends Do not Justify the Means]
âWhoever does an action which we have not commanded then it is
rejected.â
So every action which is not in accordance with the command of Allaah or His
Messenger then it is rejected (Allaah does not accept it) from the one who does
it, no matter how good his intention was.
11Now that this point has been established, then indeed the well regarded
scholars of today hold the view that these acts of suicide are not permissible,
and from these scholars are: the respected Shaykh AbdulAzeez bin Baz -
Rahimullaah-, and the noble Shaykh Muhammad bin Salih al-Uthaymeen, the
respected Shaykh AbdulAzeez bin Abdullaah Alaa-Shaykh, the noble Shaykh
Salih bin Fawzan al-Fawzan, and Shaykh AbdulAzeez ar-Rajihi, and Shaykh
AbdulMuhsin al-Ubaykan and others.
The Shariaâ proofs from the Book and the Sunnah and the intellect, show that
these operations are Haram according to the Shariaâ.
From the Book of Allaah:
1- The saying of Allaah Taâala:
<< If a wound (and killing) has touched you, be sure a similar wound
(and killing) has touched the others. And so are the days (good and
not so good), We give to men by turns, that Allaah may test those who
believe, and that He may take martyrs from among you. And Allaah likes
11not the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong doers).>>[Ala-Imraan: 140]
So Allaah is the One who chooses who is martyred in His Way. As for the
one who commits suicide to kill the enemy then he is not a martyr, because
he himself has appointed the time in which to die, and this in the Shariaâ is
defined as suicide.
2- The saying of Allaah Taâala:
<<Verily, Allaah has purchased of the believers their lives and their
properties; for the price that theirs shall be Paradise. They fight in
11Allaahâs Cause, so they kill (others) and are killed. >> [Tawbah:111]
3- The saying of Allaah Taâala:
The proof being from these two Ayaat: that the one who kills himself with
explosives or in other ways wanting to kill the enemy then it is not correct to
label him as a martyr; because the martyr is the one who is killed by the
enemy. In the first Ayaah those that have been promised Paradise are two
types:
The combatant and the one killed by the enemy. And in the second Ayaah: the
one promised with great reward is the one who is killed by the enemy or the
one who is victorious, however whoever kills himself with explosives does not
enter under the meaning of these two Ayaat.
4- The saying of Allaah Taâala:
11<<And do not kill yourselves (nor kill one another). Surely, Allaah is
Most Merciful to you. And whoever commits that through aggression
and injustice, We shall cast him into the Fire, and that is easy for
Allaah.>> [Nisa:29-30]
The proof being: This Ayaah generally includes a person committing suicide,
and these type of suicide operations include killing the innocent, from women,
old people and children, and there is no doubt that this is from transgression
and oppression, and the one who carries out a suicide mission is deserving of
this severe warning and it applies to him.
From the Sunnah:
1- From Abu Huraira -radiAllaah anhu- who said: That the Messenger of Allaah -
sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam- said:
âWhoever kills himself with an iron weapon, will be carrying that weapon
in his hand and stabbing his abdomen with it in the (Hell) Fire wherein
11he will abide eternally forever. and whoever drinks poison and kills
himself with it, he will be carrying his poison in his hand and drinking
it in the (Hell) Fire wherein he will abide eternally forever. and whoever
jumps off a mountain and kills himself, he will be jumping off into the
(Hell) Fire wherein he will abide eternally forever.â
[Collected by Bukhari & Muslim]
2- From Thaabit bin Dhihak that the Messenger of Allaah -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallamsaid:
âWhoever kills himself with something then he will be punished with
that thing on the day of Judgement.â
[Collected by Bukhari & Muslim]
3- From Abu Huraira -radiAllaah anhu- who said: That the Prophet -sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallamsaid:
âWhoever strangles himself then he will strangle himself in the Hell-Fire,
and whoever stabs himself then he will stab himself in the Hell-Fire.â
[Collected by Bukhari]
The proof being from these Ahadeeth:
That these Ahadeeth generally show that it is prohibited for a person to kill
11himself no matter what the reasons are, and this includes everyone that kills
himself with whichever means used.
From the Intellect:
1- That these operations indeed bring a backlash with a greater evil
consequence upon Islaam and the Muslims, whether that is in Palestine or in
any other place. These operations in reality show contempt and scorn of the
blood of the Muslims, and sacrifices for these operations are with no benefit
worth mentioning.
2- That these operations actually fulfill the aims of the enemies of Islaam
in an indirect way, by giving the enemies of Islaam the excuse by which they
have fulfilled their aims in the easiest way, along with the clear weakness of the
Muslims in defending themselves.
3- That these suicide missions which are aimed at other than those who are
combatants from women, children and old people are a deterrent against the
Deen of Allaah, because of the oppression of these suicide missions and their
harshness, cheating, treachery, lying and all of these are contradictory to the
Shariaâ of Islaam, all of them are contradictory and the explanation of that is
from the following points:
11First point: that the Deen of Islaam is the Deen of justice even in dealing with
the enemy, so their oppression against the Muslims does not in turn justify
oppressing them.
Allaah Taâala said:
<< and let not the hatred of some people in (once) stopping you
from Al- Masjid al- Haraam (in Makkah) lead you to transgression
(and hostility on your part). Help one another in Al- Birr and AtTaqwa (virtue, righteousness and piety); but do not help one another
in sin and transgression. And fear Allaah. Verily, Allaah is Severe in
punishment.>> [Maidah:2]
Allaah Taâala said:
11<<O you who believe! Stand out firmly for Allaah and be just witnesses
and let not the enmity and hatred of others make you avoid justice. Be
just: that is nearer to piety, and fear Allaah. Verily, Allaah is Well
Acquainted with what you do.>> [Maidah:8]
It is mentioned in the Hadeeth Qudsi that Allaah Subhanahu wa Taâala said:
âO My worshippers, I have forbidden oppression for Myself and have
made it forbidden amongst you, so do not oppress one another.â
[Collected by Muslim.]
There is no doubt that aiming for innocent people and killing them due to the
crime of someone else is from the severest of Dhulm (oppression).
Second point: that the Deen of Islaam is the Deen of mercy and doing goodness,
and this is not just to human beings alone, but even to animals, and these
suicide missions are in contradiction to mercy.
11<<If you fear treachery from any people throw back (their covenant) to
them (so as to be) on equal terms (that there will be no more covenant
between you and them). Certainly Allaah likes not the treacherous.>>
[Anfal:58]
Allaah obligated upon us that even in war with them that we do not kill except
those who fight us from amongst their men. And these people who carryout
suicide missions commit a great crime against Islaam and the Muslims, so they
ascribed Islaam to oppression, treachery and cheating. Islaam is not aided with
oppression nor with cheating.
What becomes clear from what has preceded, from the clear, authentic
evidence that suicide operations are not allowed, which some have
entitled: âmartyr missionsâ and that those who hold it to be permissible do not
have any clear authentic proof what so ever, and what they use as proof for
its permissibility is either a proof which is not authentic or it does not indicate
to what they claim, and no one rejects this point except an ignorant person or
someone who follows his desires.
11And Allaah Knows Best.
[Taken From: âJihad fee Islaamâ by Shaykh AbdusSallaam as-Suhaymee p.112 ]
All Praise belongs to Allaah, may His peace and blessings be upon our final Prophet Muhammad, his family, his
Companions and all those who follow his guidance.

1353. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu âalayhi wa sallam) said, "The martyrs are of five kinds: One who dies of plague; one who dies of disease of his belly; the drowned; one who dies under the debris (of construction, etc.), and one who dies while fighting in the way of Allah.''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Abdullah bin `Amr bin Al-`As (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu âalayhi wa sallam) said, "He who is killed while defending his property is a martyr.''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

1357. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: A man came to the Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu âalayhi wa sallam) and asked, "O Messenger of Allah! What shall I do if someone comes to me with the intention of taking away my property?'' He replied, "Do not hand over it to him.'' The man asked, "What shall I do if he fights me?'' The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu âalayhi wa sallam) said, "Then fight him.'' "What will be my position in the Hereafter if he has killed me?'' The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu âalayhi wa sallam) replied, "In that case you are a martyr.'' The man asked: "What if I killed him?'' The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu âalayhi wa sallam) replied, "He will be in the Hell-fire.''
[Muslim].

those Muslims who think blowing themselves up is martyrdom.. are completely messed up in their jurisprudence of jihad.

we are only commanded to fight with those who are on a battlefield ...in uniform ..and not just any average guy in uniform ..but the one who is a threat and his actually fighting e.g real war/battle environment.

"I advise you ten things: Do not kill women or children or an aged, infirm person. Do not cut down fruit-bearing trees. Do not destroy an inhabited place. Do not slaughter sheep or camels except for food. Do not burn bees and do not scatter them. Do not steal from the booty, and do not be cowardly." (Jihad Malik :: Book 21 : Hadith 21.3.10 )

What are the basic rules of the Islamic faith and how do they differ from those of Judaism and Christianity?

ISLAM and what a Muslim believes in.

Allaahâs Messenger (pbuh) was asked: âWhich is the
greatest sin?â He replied: âIt is to ascribe partners to Allaah,
although it is He (Alone) Who created you.â (Narrated by AlBukhaari and Muslim
It is to direct oneâs worship to other than Allaah, such as
invoking or supplicating false deities, seeking sustenance from
the dead, or the absent from among the living

and the Prophet (pbuh) said: âThe right of the slaves upon
Allaah is that He will not punish those who do not worship
others besides Him.â

Jibreel (as) said: âOh, Muhammad(pbuh)! Tell me about Islaam.â
The Messenger of Allaah (pbuh) replied: âIslaam is:
1. To testify that none has the right to be worshipped except
Allaah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah (i.e. that
Allaah sent him to convey His Religion to mankind).
Pillars of Islaam
2. To establish prayer (i.e. to implement prayer with all its
pillars, with repose and humility).
3. To pay zakaah. (If a Muslim owns more than 85 gms. of gold
or its equivalent in money, he must pay 2.5% of it after one year.
Other forms of wealth and property have their own set amounts
to be paid upon them).
4. To fast the month of Ramadhaan (i.e. to abstain from food
drink and sexual relations and all manner of sins from dawn until
dusk).
5. And to make pilgrimage (Hajj) to the House (of Allaah,
in Makkah) if you have the means to do so.â (Narrated by
Muslim)

Jibreel said: âThen tell me about eemaan.â Allaahâs Messenger
(pbuh) replied: âEemaan is to believe in:
Pillars of Eemaan1. Allaah (i.e. to believe firmly that Allaah is the Creator, Who
alone has the right to be worshipped and that He has Names and
Attributes which befit His Majesty and He does not resemble His
creation There is nothing like Him (Soorah Ash-Shooraa
42:11) - ).

2. His angels (i.e. that they are created from light and that they
implement the Commands of Allaah and that we do not see
them).

3. His Books (i.e. the Tauraah, the Injeel, the Zaboor and the
Qur`aan which abrogates all previous Revelations).

4. His Messengers (the first of whom was Nooh (ï&micro and the
last of whom was Muhammad (ï&yen). Q.6 Why did Allaah send the Messengers? He sent them to call people to the worship of Allaah and to reject the worship of anything besides Him. Allaah, Most High
says: ï» And We have surely sent to every people a Messenger
(proclaiming) worship Allaah and avoid the taaghoot(All that is worshipped besides Allaah and is happy to be worshipped, or every
person who calls others to worship other than Allaah; and every taaghoot is a devil.)
(Soorah An-Nahl 16:36)
- and the Prophet (pbuh) said: âThe Prophets are brothers⦠and
their Religion is one.â (Narrated by Al-Bukhaari and Muslim)

5. The Last Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection when all of
mankind will be held to account).

6. And to believe in Al-Qadar, the good and the bad of it (i.e. to
accept all that Allaah ordains for us, at the same time undertaking the necessary action to achieve our objectives).â (Narrated by
Muslim).

The misguidance of the Jews with regard to creed

Praise be to Allaah.

Undoubtedly the mistakes that the Jews made are more serious than those which the Christians made, although both of them have erred and are kaafirs. The Qurâaan mentions a number of the ways in which the Jews went astray.

1. Among them there is a group which claims that Allaah has a son, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

âAnd the Jews say: âUzair (Ezra) is the son of Allaah, and the Christians say: Messiah is the son of Allaah. That is their saying with their mouths, resembling the saying of those who disbelieved aforetime. Allaahâs Curse be on them, how they are deluded away from the truth!â

[al-Tawbah 9:30]

2. They described Allaah as having shortcomings, and they killed the Prophets and Messengers of Allaah, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

âThe Jews say: âAllaahâs Hand is tied up (i.e. He does not give and spend of His Bounty).â Be their hands tied up and be they accursed for what they uttered. Nay, both His Hands are widely outstretched. He spends (of His Bounty) as He willsâ

[al-Maaâidah 5:64]

âIndeed, Allaah has heard the statement of those (Jews) who say: âTruly, Allaah is poor and we are rich!â We shall record what they have said and their killing of the Prophets unjustly, and We shall say: âTaste you the torment of the burning (Fire).ââ

[Aal âImraan 3:181]

3. They distorted the word of Allaah, i.e., the Tawraat (Torah). Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

âSo, because of their breach of their covenant, We cursed them and made their hearts grow hard. They change the words from their (right) placesâ

[al-Maaâidah 5:13]

âThen woe to those who write the Book with their own hands and then say, âThis is from Allaah,â to purchase with it a little price! Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for that they earn therebyâ

[al-Baqarah 2:79]

4. They deserved the curse of Allaah, because of what Allaah has said about them. Allaah says:

âThose among the Children of Israel who disbelieved were cursed by the tongue of Dawood (David) and âEesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). That was because they disobeyed (Allaah and the Messengers) and were ever transgressing beyond bounds.

They used not to forbid one another from Al-Munkar (wrong, evildoing, sins, polytheism, disbelief) which they committed. Vile indeed was what they used to doâ

[al-Maaâidah 5:78-79]

The lies that they have fabricated against their Prophets are many, such as the following:

1. The Jews claimed that the Prophet of Allaah Sulayman (Solomon) was an apostate and that he worshipped idols, as mentioned in I Kings 11:5.

2. The Jews claimed that Loot (Lot) â" peace be upon him â" drank wine and committed incest with his two daughters, as mentioned in Genesis 19:30ff.

3. The Jews claimed that the Prophet of Allaah Yaâqoob (Jacob) committed theft, as mentioned in Genesis 31:12.

4. The Jews claim that the Prophet of Allaah Dawood (David) committed adultery, as a result of which Sulaymaan (Solomon) was born to him, as mentioned in II Samuel 11:4.

-- and so on, may Allaah curse them and put them to shame.

Allaah and His Messenger cursed them in numerous places in the Qurâaan and Sunnah because of their shameless actions. For example, Allaah says (interpretation of the meanings):

âAnd they say, âOur hearts are wrapped (i.e. do not hear or understand Allaahâs Word).â Nay, Allaah has cursed them for their disbelief, so little is that which they believe.

And when there came to them (the Jews), a Book (this Qurâaan) from Allaah confirming what is with them [the Tawraat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)], although aforetime they had invoked Allaah (for coming of Muhammad) in order to gain victory over those who disbelieved, then when there came to them that which they had recognized, they disbelieved in it. So let the Curse of Allaah be on the disbelieversâ

[al-Baqarah 2:88-89]

âAmong those who are Jews, there are some who displace words from (their) right places and say: âWe hear your word (O Muhammad) and disobey,â and âHear and let you (O Muhammad) hear nothing.â And Raaâina [in Arabic, this means âBe careful, listen to us, and we listen to youâ, whereas in Hebrew, it means âan insultâ] with a twist of their tongues and as a mockery of the religion (Islam). And if only they had said: âWe hear and obeyâ, and âDo make us understand,â it would have been better for them, and more proper; but Allaah has cursed them for their disbelief, so they believe not except a few.

O you who have been given the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Believe in what We have revealed (to Muhammad) confirming what is (already) with you, before We efface faces (by making them like the back of necks; without nose, mouth and eyes) and turn them hindwards, or curse them as We cursed the Sabbath-breakers. And the Commandment of Allaah is always executed.â

[al-Nisaaâ 4:46-47]

âSo, because of their breach of their covenant, We cursed them and made their hearts grow hard. They change the words from their (right) places and have abandoned a good part of the Message that was sent to them. And you will not cease to discover deceit in them, except a few of themâ

[al-Maaâidah 5:13]

âSay (O Muhammad to the people of the Scripture): âShall I inform you of something worse than that, regarding the recompense from Allaah: those (Jews) who incurred the Curse of Allaah and His Wrath, and those of whom (some) He transformed into monkeys and swines, and those who worshipped Taaghoot (false deities); such are worse in rank (on the Day of Resurrection in the Hell-fire), and far more astray from the Right Path (in the life of this world).â

[al-Maaâidah 5:60]

âThe Jews say: âAllaahâs Hand is tied up (i.e. He does not give and spend of His Bounty).â Be their hands tied up and be they accursed for what they uttered. Nay, both His Hands are widely outstretched. He spends (of His Bounty) as He wills. Verily, the Revelation that has come to you from your Lord (Allaah) increases in most of them (their) obstinate rebellion and disbelief. We have put enmity and hatred amongst them till the Day of Resurrection. Every time they kindled the fire of war, Allaah extinguished it; and they (ever) strive to make mischief on the earth. And Allaah does not like the Mufsidoon (mischief-makers).

[al-Maaâidah 5:64]

And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

âMay Allaah curse the Jews, for they have taken the graves of their Prophets as places of worship.â

âMay Allaah curse the Jews: fat was forbidden for them, but they melted it down and sold it,â

These two hadeeths are both narrated in Saheeh al-Bukhaari.

Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) described them well when he said:

âThe nation upon whom is the Divine wrath are the Jews, the people of lies, slander, betrayal, conspiracy and trickery, the killers of Prophets and consumers of ribaa (usury) and bribes. They have the most evil hearts of all nations, and the worst attitude. They are the farthest removed from (divine) Mercy and the closest to (divine) wrath. Their way is enmity and stirring up hatred. They represent the house of witchcraft, lies and trickery. They do not see anything wrong in rejecting and disbelieving in Prophets whom they did not like. With regard to a believer, they respect not the ties, either of kinship or of covenant [cf. Al-Tawbah 9:10]. They do not respect the rights of those who agree with them, or show any compassion towards them, nor do they show any justice or fairness to those who work with them. There is no safety or security for those who mix with them, and there is no sincerity towards those who use their services. The most evil of them is the one who is most intelligent, and the cleverest one among them is the one who cheats the most. The one who is good at heart â" which it is unlikely to find among them â" is not a Jew in any real sense. They are the most bad-tempered of people, with the gloomiest houses and the filthiest courtyards. They have very bad manners â" their greeting is a curse, and meeting them is bad news. Their slogan is wrath and they are filled with hatred.â

(Hidaayat al-Hayaaraa, p. 8)

These are just a few drops from a flood of information. Whoever researches the matter will find out a great deal about their shameful actions and the forms that their kufr and deviation take. We ask Allaah to suppress them, humiliate them, put them to shame and defeat them, and to grant the Muslims victory over them sooner rather than later. May Allaah bless our Prophet Muhammad.

And Allaah knows best.

*sighs*

I must confess my disappointment with you sir. At the beginning you seemed more amendable to reason than others I have met, alas you are nothing but a fanatic consumed by righteousness.

There are Christians, Jews, Hindus, and others of other faiths all convinced they are righteous. How does one compare to that? Islam is no different. Convinced of righteousness you slaughter each other in pointless trivial disputes. Had I my way I would lock the so called righteous in a room so that they may slaughter each other. I'd pray for mercy, but I am not one to pray or believe in the mercy given by the hand of man.

This is something not many have knowledge of .. I praise Allah and ask him to guide you all to the truth

Question: How is the concept of the soul expressed in Islam?

Answer:
Praise be to Allaah.

Allaah is the Creator of all things, and the soul is something that has been created just like everything else. The knowledge about its true essence is something that belongs exclusively to Allaah, may He be glorified and exalted. Allaah has kept this knowledge exclusively to Himself, as is stated in the hadeeth of âAbd-Allaah ibn Masâood (may Allaah be pleased with him), who said: âWhilst I was with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) on a farm, and he was resting on a palm branch stripped of its leaves, the Jews passed by, and some of them said to others, âAsk him about the soul.â Some of them said, âWhat urges you to ask him about it?â Others of them said, âDonât ask him in case he says something you dislike.â But they said, âAsk him,â so they asked him about the soul. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) kept quiet and did not respond to them, and I knew that he was receiving Revelation, so I stayed where I was. When the Revelation of the aayah was complete, he said (interpretation of the meaning): âAnd they ask you [O Muhammad] concerning the rooh [the spirit]. Say: âThe rooh: it is one of the things, the knowledge of which is only with my Lord. And of knowledge, you (mankind) have been given only a little.â [al-Israâ 17:85]â (Reported by al-Bukhaari). The rooh (soul or spirit) has been described by Allaah in His Book and by the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) in his Sunnah, and various verbs and adjectives have been used in conjunction with the word âroohâ, such as seizing or grasping, taking (as in death), it may be fettered or shrouded, it comes and goes, it goes up and comes down, it may be pulled out like a hair being pulled out of dough⦠It is obligatory (in Islam) to believe in these attributes which are narrated in the âtwo Revelationsâ (i.e., the Qurâaan and Sunnah), and also to realize that the soul is not like the body.

Allaah created Adam and breathed the soul into him, as is stated in the Qurâaan and in the hadeeth of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): âWhen Allaah created Adam and breathed the soul into him, he sneezed and said âAl-hamdu-Lillah (Praise be to Allaah).â He praised Allaah by His permission. Then his Lord said to him, âMay Allaah have mercy on you, O Adam. Go to those angels, to a group of them who are sitting, and say, âAs-salaamu âalaykum (peace be upon you).â They said, âWa âalayka al-salaam wa rahmat-Allaah (and upon you be peace and the Mercy of Allaah).â Then he went back to his Lord, who said, âThis is your greeting and the greeting of your descendants amongst themselves.ââ (Reported and classed as hasan by al-Tirmidhi. Sunan al-Tirmidhi, 3290).

Allaah sends the angel to breathe the soul into the foetus as was reported by âAbd-Allaah ibn Masâood, who said: âThe Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), who is the most truthful (of human beings) and his being truthful (is a fact) told us: âThe constituents of one of you is gathered in his motherâs womb for forty days, then it becomes a clot of blood within another period of forty days. Then it becomes a lump of flesh, and forty days later, Allaah sends His angel to it to breathe into it the soul. The angel comes with instructions concerning four things, so the angel writes down his livelihood, his death, his deeds and whether he will doomed or blessed.â (Reported by Muslim, 1528).

The soul of the deceased is taken from the ends of the toes towards the top of the body, and when it reaches the throat, the death rattle sounds in the throat of the person who is about to die, and his eyes glaze over and roll upwards. Um Salamah said: âThe Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) entered upon Abu Salamah (after he had died) and his eyes were open, so he closed them then said, âWhen the soul is taken, the eyes follow it.ââ (Reported by Muslim, 1528).

The soul is met by the angels. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: âThe angels met the soul of a man from among the people who came before you, and said, âDid you do anything good?â He said, 'I used to tell my employees to postpone collection of payment or to let off anyone who was in difficulty.â So it was said, âLet him off.ââ (Reported by al-Bukhaari, 1935).

The soul is taken up to heaven by two angels after it is taken (i.e., after a person dies), as was reported in the hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah who said: âWhen the soul of the believer is taken, it is met by two angels who take it upâ¦â (The narrator said: then he mentioned its good fragrance and scent of musk). The people of heaven say, âA good soul that has come from earth, may Allaah bless you and the body in which you used to dwell. Then they take it up to its Lord, may He be glorified and exalted, then He says, âRoam with it until the end of the world.â When the disbelieverâs soul comes out⦠(the narrator mentioned its putrid smell and curses). The people of heaven say, âAn evil soul that has come from earth,â then it is said, âRoam with it until the end of the world.â Abu Hurayrah said: then the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) put a piece of cloth over his nose, like this. (Reported by Muslim, 5119).

More information about how the soul comes out (at death) was reported in the hadeeth of Imaam Ahmad (may Allaah have mercy on him) from al-Baraâ ibn âAazib who said: âWe went out with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) for the funeral of a man from among the Ansaar, and we reached the grave whilst it was still being dug. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) sat down and we sat down around him, and it was as if we had birds on our heads. In his hand was a stick with which he was scratching in the earth. He raised his head and said, âSeek refuge with Allaah from the punishment of the grave,â two or three times. Then he said, âVerily, when the believing slave is about to depart this world and enter the Hereafter, there come down to him angels from heaven with white faces, as if their faces are the sun. They bring with them one of the shrouds of Paradise and some of the perfume of Paradise. They sit with him as far as the eye can see. Then the Angel of Death (peace be upon him) comes to him and sits by his head and says, âO pure soul, come out to the forgiveness and pleasure of Allaah.â Then his soul comes flowing out like a drop of water flowing from a cup. Then he takes the soul, and no sooner does he seize it but they take it and place it in that shroud and perfume. Then out of it comes the most excellent fragrance of musk to be found on the face of the earth. Then they ascend with it and they do not pass by any group of angels but the angels ask, âWho is this pure soul?â and they reply, âIt is So and so the son of So and soâ â" using the best names by which he was known on earth. Then they bring it to the lowest heaven, and ask for it to be opened, and it is opened for him. Those who are of high rank in each heaven accompany it until they approach the next heaven, and so it goes until it reaches the seventh heaven. Then Allaah, may He be glorified and exalted, says: âRecord the book of My slave in âIlliyoon (the highest heaven) and take him back to the earth, for I created them from it, and I shall return them to it, then I shall take them out from it again.â Then his soul is returned to his body and two angels come and make him sit up, and ask him, âWho is your Lord.â He says, âAllaah.â They ask, âWhat is your religion?â He says, âMy religion is Islam.â They ask, âWho is this man that was sent amongst you?â He says, âHe is the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him.â They ask him, âWhat knowledge do you have?â He says, 'I read the Book of Allaah and I believed in it.â Then a voice will call out from heaven, âMy slave has spoken the truth. Prepare for him a bed from Paradise and give him clothes from Paradise, and open for him a door to Paradise.â And he will feel its breeze and smell its fragrance, and his grave will be widened for him as far as his eye can see. Then a man with a handsome face, beautiful clothes and a pleasant fragrance will come to him and say, âGood news! This is the day that you were promised.â He will say, âWho are you? You face looks as if it brings good news.â He will say, 'I am your good deeds.â (The deceased) will say, âO Lord, let the Hour come so that I may see my family and my wealth again.â

When the disbelieving slave is about to depart this world and enter the Hereafter, there come down to him angels from heaven with black faces, bringing with them sackcloth. They sit with him as far as the eye can see. Then the Angel of Death comes to him and sits by his head and says, âO evil soul, come out to the wrath and anger of Allaah.â Then his soul disperses in his body and is dragged out like a skewer being pulled out of wet wool. Then he takes the soul, and no sooner does he seize it but they take it and place it in that sackcloth. Then out of it comes the most putrid stench of rotten flesh to be found on the face of the earth. Then they ascend with it and they do not pass by any group of angels but the angels ask, âWho is this evil soul?â and they reply, âIt is So and so the son of So and soâ â" using the worst names by which he was known on earth. Then they bring it to the lowest heaven, and ask for it to be opened, and it is not opened for him.â Then the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) recited (interpretation of the meaning): â⦠For them the gates of heaven will not be opened, and they will not enter Paradise until the camel goes through the eye of the needleâ [al-Aâraaf 7:40]. Then he said, âThen Allaah, may He be glorified and exalted, says: âRecord the book of My slave in Sijjeen (the lowest Hell) in the lowest earth. Then his soul is cast down.â Then he recited (interpretation of the meaning): â⦠and whoever assigns partners to Allaah, it is as if he had fallen from the sky, and the birds had snatched him, or the wind had thrown him to a far off place.â [al-Hajj 22:31]. He said, âThen his soul is returned to his body and two angels come and make him sit up, and ask him, âWho is your Lord.â He says, âOh, oh, I donât know.â They ask, âWhat is your religion?â He says, âOh, oh, I donât know.â They ask, âWho is this man that was sent amongst you?â He says, âOh, oh, I donât know.â Then a voice will call out from heaven, âHe is lying. Prepare for him a bed from Hell and open for him a door to Hell.â And he will feel its hot winds and smell its stench, and his grave will be constricted for him until his ribs interlock. Then a man with an ugly face, ugly clothes and a horrible stench will come to him and say, âBad news! This is the day that you were warned about.â He will say, âWho are you? You face looks as if it brings bad news.â He will say, 'I am your evil deeds.â (The deceased) will say, âO Lord, do not let the Hour come!ââ (Musnad al-Imaam Ahmad, 17803; this is a saheeh hadeeth).

At the end of time, Allaah will send a wind which will take the soul of every believer, as was reported in the hadeeth of al-Nawwaas ibn Samâaan, who said: âThe Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) mentioned ⦠(the coming of the Dajjaal [Antichrist] and the descent of âEesa [Jesus], peace be upon him, and the good life and happiness of mankind at the time of Jesus and afterwards). He said, âAnd whilst the people are living like that, Allaah will send a good wind which will seize them under the armpits and will take the soul of every believer and every Muslim. The evil people will remain and they will behave like donkeys, then the Hour will come upon them.ââ (Reported by Muslim, 5228).

When people sleep (and sleep is the âlesser deathâ), the soul is taken, but not completely, so the sleeper is still alive. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): âIt is Allaah Who takes away the souls at the time of their death, and those that die not during their sleep, He keeps those (souls) for which He has ordained death and sends the rest for a term appointed. Verily, in this are signs for a people who think deeply.â [al-Zumar 39:42]

The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) advised the Muslim, when he lies down to sleep, to say: âBismika Rabbee wadaâtu janbi wa bika arfaâuhu wa in amsakta nafsi farhamhaa wa in arsaltahaa fahfazhaa bimaa tuhfaz bihi âibaadika al-saaliheen ( In Your name, my Lord, I lie down, and in Your name I rise. If You should take my soul then have mercy on it, and if You should return my soul then protect it as You protect Your righteous slaves).â When the Muslim wakes up, he should say, âAl-hamdu Lillaah alladhi âaafaani fi jasadi wa radda âalayya roohi wa adhina li bi dhikrihi (Praise be to Allaah Who has restored to me my health and returned my soul and has allowed me to remember Him ).â (Reported by al-Tirmidhi, 3323â He said, a hasan hadeeth).

These are a few of the aayaat and saheeh ahaadeeth which describe the soul. Maybe you will find in them information that will guide you to the way of truth, the Religion of Islam. Thank you for your question.

Why are all your answers copied from a different source? Are you incapable of thinking for yourself, or have your Allah beam the answers into your head? Where are you getting these anyway?

Personally, I would rather guide myself. I find that my moral compass seems to work far better than any deity's.

Sooo are you going to answer my question, or are you doing one at a time?
