There should be a challenge for getting 1000+ kills with every shotgun in the game at 2nd prestige (The green one).
Also, if anyone really wants a gun gold and has a lot of time. Try either the KSG or Model. You will be surprised with the KSG. And the model with damage is a beast.
Also guys, I personally think that the MP7, PP90M1 and the ACR are overpowered weapons. After using the shotguns, using an MP7 is incredible.
Maybe it is just me but I feel there is a definite difference between those three weapons and every other weapon in the game.
The only thing that can annoy me more then that is a no scope sniper killing me when I hit marker them with my shotgun.
However guys, FFA + Shotgun + Steady aim PRO is the easiest way to level up shotguns. I went 30-20 every single game. It seems you get one kill and turn a corner and get another kill. Then another. And you find yourself with the specialist bonus really quickly.

Currently I'm primarily playing with two snipers (L118a and MSR) and two shotguns (AA-12 and KSG-12). I have the AA-12 on my overkill class, so it won't be hard going into tight spaces and getting kills with it, and the KSG-12 without damage is already a great gun, I'm often getting one shot kills with it.

I don't really like the PP90M1, because the range on it is pretty bad, but on maps like hardhat and dome it's good. ACR and MP7 are probably like that to most because the recoil is basically nonexistent when you hold the trigger.

I would play FFA in MW3, but the spawns are bad. I don't like it when I kill someone and they spawn right behind me or beside me. I think ground war is a pretty good way of leveling guns as well, because wherever you go there's usually action. I went 40-15 solely using the KSG-12 yesterday on ground war kill confirmed, and then 39-12 using the MSR. I think that's a pretty good score for sniping only when most of your teammates and enemies are using reg guns.
FFA is annoying. All it is is campers and headglitches and "holding down" places. In my opinion, the best shotgun is the USAS-12 with extended mags and damage. And the ACR is a pretty average everything assault rifle. It's fire rate is average, same with damage, it just has little recoil. The MP7 has a bit of a higher fire rate, but it's bad at long range. My current favorite assault rifle is the G36C. @GhostOfMatrix, Oh my cheeze its you are good.
USAS 12 is alright if you got a group of enemies but has less damage than the KSG.
The KSG is the best shotgun for taking out single people. Team tactical suits it well. Guns like the USAS, Striker and AA12 (Maybe) can take out groups easily.
AA12 isn't that good for multiple people unless you're using damage and extended mags. Without those you'll probably get two people with the clip, since it takes 3-4 shots to kill. But that changes, since all the shotguns are pretty inconsistent. Earlier today I got a longshot with the KSG, then I get a hitmarker point blank range.
It's not fun anymore. It's a good game, but not fun. Why? Because all the good players left it. Any decent player can easily go 30+/2-4 against the scrubs who play.
Wow. Whole new level of skilled there. Every time I try to snipe I get sprayed down by an Assault Rifle.

You just need decent teammates to put pressure on them, keep a good distance away from them (not saying stick in the back of the map, but don't get in shotgun range of them, because most of the time you'll probably lose the gun fights), take good routes, and have a three or four bar connection, otherwise you'll be missing a lot.
That's why it's fun.
I can see how it is for a little bit, but I like to be challenged. When things are too easy I get bored quickly.
Also, the survival in MW3 is no where near as good as Zombies.

Survival is epic guys. My best I've gotten is level 49 on resistance. I'm the max level you can be and have all weapons unlocked. It is actually really fun. I had a hell of a fun time using two LMGS. Spraying down 40 people with one spray is soooo fun.
