Ah, but it never says anywhere that people are tortured for eternity, nor does it say how. It could just be you are tortured by the thoughts of you sins or whatnot. And why would you punish a simple thief for eternity?
well you might not but if neither fo those people have repented then they will be just the same as an atheist charity worker who helps the elderly gives to charity and takes in stray dogs would
you might not but god would
There is hell because some people don't deserve to go to heaven, do you think god should've let Hitler or Saddam Hussein into heaven? Of course not.
you are making the mistake of answering the title without adressing the OP
They were doing what they thought was the right thing to do. Granted they were crazy but they still thought that God was on their side.
Hitler hated the church and never stated to have god on his side but to persuade the middle class Germans and Austrians to vote for him, according to his inner circle he wasnt really religious
Your parents don't forgive you if you chant their name and kiss a cross.
I also don't recall my parents requiring blood sacrifices.
Satan is evil to everybody. He tricks you, then abandons you. His goal is to make you as miserable as he is.
Going back to my question then why doesn't he show himself? It would be a lot easier to do that sort of thing in person.
Ah, but it never says anywhere that people are tortured for eternity, nor does it say how.
Really? Mean like how it doesn't say anything like this?
2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 (NIV) He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power
Revelation 20:15 (NIV) If anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

True he did hate the church, he didn't like organized religion but he still believed in divinity. My point still stands, however.

Yes, funny link however all of those quotes and the quote indie just presented were from Mein Kampf which was essentially a piece of propaganda, and as I just stated Hitler used religion as a means to an end, in that he publicly stated that God was on his side so as not to lose votes from the religious majority, however accounts of senior Nazis in his inner circle suggest he was not necessarily agressively atheist, or in fact atheist at all, however simply not religious
the video is consequently moot in this area however still very funny

Keep in mind the bible isn't 100% correct. It's been translated and retranslated for over 2000 years, plus there is all the different versions.
Plus, the bible isn't always literal, nor is it always metaphorical. What if the lake of fire is a metaphor? And how do we know that the Thessalonians scripture hasn't been mistranslated?
The same could be applied to almost the whole Bible which is why it should be disregarded in any theological or scientific capacity as an unreliable source.

if i was satan, i would start an army of the ****ed god sending people to hell would be like a constant draft
anyway, hitler was very religious -he was very into norse mythology -he had teams of people constantly searching for the holy grail (which he thought would contain pure aryan blood, and unlimited power) -he was saved during ww1 by what he described as a "mysterious voice"
he did however, hate christianity and atheism, which may be misunderstood for being antireligious

What would make you think he hated Christianity? I could see where you would get the atheism, do to the fact that he shut down several atheist organizations, but why would you think he hated Christianity?
that cant be said for certain, but there are many quotes from hitler referring to an almighty creator, which means he believed in some kind of divinity.
i saw a tv special once that showed hitler had an appreciation for nordic mythology as well, which can be interpreted how you will.
