People always say that if you're an atheist, you're going to hell. This got me thinking. Why (if he exists) would he send me to an eternity of suffering in a fiery hole of despair? Doing this horrifying act just because I don't believe he exists. There was no evidence to support the fact he exists. I never did anything terribly wrong compared to the next guy. If god is real in this manner, he is a evil villianous character sending me to an eternity of suffering worse than death itself.

Just because something has been printed many times it doesn't mean it's true. As Ernie once said, if that were the case Harry Potterism would probably be one of the biggest religions in the world.
Because you denied Him. Because you have not accepted Christ as your savior. God cannot eternally dwell with sinful souls. He loves you, but you have no option but hell if you deny Him and Christ.

The Bible is not proof. You can't use the thing claiming something as it's own proof.
I say that I am a purple dragon because I say so. That's what you're doing when you use the Bible as "roof." Let's not get into all the things in it that are obviously wrong or contradictory.

i can write a book that sais im god and copy it plenty of times. that wont be considered proof. besides, if your bible is a proof then the kuran is proof as well. how would you counter the kuran?
I am trying to make a point that you cannot be the judge of any action, be it even yours, if you don't rely on an external invariable or slowly variable source. Further, I am trying to say that no single human can be in such a position, and yet again further, speaking about "sane people" as single society, as the world is trying to consolidate at least in the Internet, one need an extra-terrestrial basis to judge anyone, be it even himself.

You're telling me, if you accept Christ and do good deeds only so you could end up in Heaven that's okay? And if you don't accept Christ, but still do good deeds because it's a good deed your chances of going to hell are slightly lower than going to Heaven? I find that idiotic.

God hates atheists because the church hates atheists. God is the church, god is christianity and all christians. And many of them do seem to have something against those who don't share their faith. And if now you say that behind all that there really is a god that hates us: tell me then, how come you know so well what you're not supposed to know? How come you know the likings of your deity so well? Why you?

"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him." John 3:36
God's wrath remains on those who do not accept Christ; they are already condemned for their wickedness. It's a popular idea in other religions that if you do enough good deeds, you can earn your way to Heaven. The Bible denies this. The Bible says that all our good deeds are like filthy rags; they can't cover our sin. Our hearts are deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked. The Bible says there is no one good but God. Proverbs says that most men will proclaim their own goodness, but we are not good.
"But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of Godâs wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. God 'will repay each person according to what they have done.'" Romans 2:5-6
The problem, then, is our stubborn arrogance. We would rather stay in the darkness with our evil then come to the light, having our evil exposed, and be forgiven.

Right. The point I was making is that if Christ was not a factor, then we would all be condemned. It's accurate for the atheist to say God sends people to Hell just for not believing.
