We all know that global warming is when the sun rays get trapped underneath the excess carbon dioxide, methane and other greenhouse gases, causing the sun rays to bounce back off it and stay in earth causing the temperature to rise. What do you think about it? Do you think that it is real? Or just a media hype?

No, that's nuclear fission. Nuclear FUSION only has helium as the product.

nuclear fusion gives nuclear waste.
the only nuclear fusion that is 100% clean energy is whit helium-3 from the moon. aslong we don't have that source from the moon nuclear fusion is poluting our earth.

nuclear fusion gives nuclear waste.

It would still be cleaner than fission reactors given the radioactivity remains dangerous for only about 50-100 years with fusion. Fission it lasts for thousands of years.

No source. I went to a nuclear fusion lecture held by somebody with a PhD in nuclear physics. Her name is something Windridge

not believing this.
how come you cared for something? must have been a special day. not?

i'll believe this, Mage usualy got it on the right side. (i know you could give me some source of it was realy needed =) not?)

Also according to the article I gave a page back. Deterium-Deterium reactions may be possible and they produce no radiation.

He is right, but the radioactivity isn't in the form of waste;

i'll stick whit what he said sofar. i cba to seek it up myself atm anyway.
your unable to give a actual source. and i have no reason sofar yet why i should believe what your saying. it's been alot of nothing.

I don't know about that, all the lecturer said was that concurrently they were working on duterium-titrium reactions in a nuclear fusion testing facility in Oxfordshire and another one in I think it was Philadelphia or somewhere else in the USA.

Yes. Duterium-titrium reactions will produce radiation. And that is currently what they're working on. But thats because you need a lot more heat for duterium-deterium reactions.

because for sofar about evrything ive seen you say was alot of non-sense.
knowing that tells me to not believe you right away any time soon.

from Mage i simply know he can backup about evrything he say's. i don't need sources from him untill i realy doubt his point of view.

I will just leave my closing words on this matter. While I think the benefits of using fusion reactor does make it worth while to develop and use I'm not convinces it would solve our energy problems.

Do you think that it is as bad as people made it out to be or do you think that it is a bit overhyped?

There are a number of valid scientific arguments that shouldn't be ignored, though I haven't been to fond of how the media has handled the issues. So this question depends on who's talking.

yeah, the media's response was, "OH MY GOD, WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!"

thats overhyped yes. luckly the media in my country aint that stupid.
like mage said it depends on who is talking.

I guess the media is a creative fabrication version of reality concocted by imbeciles and morons with very few exceptions... Nor enough exceptions for my liking...

i agree that ALOT of media sources are not independent and/or are people that you discribed.

The only pollution is helium.

No, it does produce radioactive waste, it's just not enough to be of any significant environmental concern.

And it is 1 million times more energy per gram than fossil fuels! Yes, it definitely is the solution to our energy crisis...

This put's it on par with current nuclear reactors, the major difference is it's cleaner.

I want to know specifically what your opinion is...

There is enough data to warrant a concern.

do not think that there is cause for concern because the warming of the Earth isn't so truly terrible that it should make the planet go into mass panic

a concern is not a mass panic

i'm from the netherlands (hollad is only a province of the netherlands ) and if we do not highten our walls against to sea. then we will get a massive flod whitin 20 year. in wich about 60% of the country will be flodded.
we need to do this because of global warming. it is real and if it keeps going (wich it is) then other countrys on different parts of the world will get the same problems as we (the dutch) already have now.
(including NY. inmagion NY under 6 feet of water. that is what global warming will do eventualy. here in the netherland eventualy (if we don't do anything) 80 to 100% of the country will be under water.) (sunken city of amsterdam)

It is if the whole world believe it

the whole world can be concerned but not panic.

during the cold war the whole world was concerned about the tentions between usa and russia. but no1 realy paniced. if they did then we probably were not typing this today.

walls wouldn't really stand up to the weight of the entire ocean.

it's our countrys specialty, we work whit water, thats what we do beter then any1 els.
our walls can stand up.

Ah. I was wondering why you spoke in broken English... Don't you have spell checker?

it's the i-net aslong people understand i'm happy whit it. if it is for work or anything other that actualy is importend then i keep a eye on the spelling of it.

Dude, you're screwed... I'd get yourself and your friends and family outta there if I were you. Or at least close to the time of flooding. 20 Years, eh? LOL, you're country's ****ed. No wonder you care about global warming so much, you're about to be ****ed in the butt.

still thinking that global warning is just a hoax?

btw that will only happen if we don't higher our walls. wich we are doing since 2004. it will stand for about 150 years. if the sea keeps rishing at this speed. so in 150 years we will have to higher them again.

Amsterdam? You live there...?

no but my country is so small evrything is close by. and i used amsterdam because it's the most famous city for people outside the country)

In England and America it was pretty much seen that way. Now it is more or less like it is old news. Really in your country they should be acting like that seeing as how they are one of the more ****ed countries.

thats the awsome thing from my country. people always stay calm and handle problems professionally.
not thake overheated actions, they will only lead to malfunction.

Mind you you don't have celebrities in Holland, so I guess that doesn't really affect you...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA sorry but thats just stupid. xD
i got nothing els to say about that. except that you made my day whit your ignorance.

The link isn't really necessary. I have already covered all of it. It just basically proves what I've already said...

wich i wanna read from a other source aswell =)
i just pointed it out that i havn't read it so you know why i havn't made a reply about that yet.

I think the earth is just going through a periodic warm phase just as it went through the ice age.

Odd fact
the earths average temperature has been rising ever since about 30 years after oil and gas was discovered.
coincidence?
I think not
