So, uh, yeah, the title pretty much says it. Lots of topics turn into religion debates, so this is meant for that. Mine is Atheist. Feel free to oppose, but I'll oppose your post, too.
When you mix science into religion you then have to rethink almost all aspects of that religion. It took Catholics 1500 years to figure out what they should believe. Other sects of Christianity developed because they didn't like what the Catholics believed and more sects developed because they didn't like what those sects believed. Its a never ending cycle of everyone disagreeing. Adding science into it just make it worse because scientists even disagree with each other.
your kinda late whit that m8, they are.. you know.. DEAD already =D
Hinduism and Shinto just two off the top of my head
hinduism: they see evry "god" of them part of 1 big god. i forgot how to say it well in english so you all understood but i forgot. it came to the point that like a body we have a arm, a hand , a head etc. wich makes our body. it's kinda the same for their "gods" they all are actualy 1.
and i bet there is some proof this is not the case. but i can't know all the different ways people follow hinduism. some say there are no gods. some say there are more then 1 god some say there is only 1 god.

No, Hinduism has many Gods, they don't consider all of them to just be part of one. I have a few Hindu friends. :P

there are to many ways in hinduism to actualy say: hindus believe this and that. because they all believe something els.
well, even if you do good things to raise your karma to get rewarded, you will not know how or when yoiu get rewarded. same goes for bad karma.
That's the religious belief. You don't really know when you'll be rewarded or punished for your actions, but you know it'll come.
Far different from the Catholic religion which starts everyone out as a sinner who needs redeeming. Even if you live a good life, you're still classed as a sinner, which seems a little unrewarding to me.

just go to church and confess. all is okie-dokie after that.

Not really. You go to church to confess, but all the priest can offer is penance. It is up to the individual then to complete the penance, promise solemnly to make amends and ask for forgiveness. The problem is that the religion is based on Jesus paying the ultimate sacrifice for the sins of man, even though he is said to have risen from the dead, so he only paid the sacrifice for 3 days according to the New Testament.
If forgiveness was automatically given, why would there be a place for purgatory or hell?
I'm not saying anything makes sense at all, but Catholics are automatically sinners the day they are born and they are sinners the day that they die. How they live their lives seems somewhat irrelevant to the end result.

I creates a false dichotomy of dependence by saying "your broken but it's okay we can fix you". This is really what's trying to be established as those who buy into it can be controlled.

Precisely.
Unfortunately people buy into it far too easily and then want to 'spread the word' to others, but it is a hard sell to make. Why would anyone want to accept the concept that no matter how decent a human being you are, you're still classed as a sinner until you're redeemed after death?
It's the want for something after death that leads to the belief in God, some meaning to life other than the norm. We all want something to believe in, but some take it further than others into a belief that insists, as you say, that something needs to be fixed in order for you to have a good after life.
That reminds me of the following quote: "To most Christians, the Bible is like a software license. Nobody reads it. They just scroll to the bottom and click 'I agree'."
