So, uh, yeah, the title pretty much says it. Lots of topics turn into religion debates, so this is meant for that. Mine is Atheist. Feel free to oppose, but I'll oppose your post, too.

Isn't this getting a bit too much into gratuitous provocation? You won't achieve anything that way, not here, not now.

just thought it might work if i started to talk in circles aswell.

guess not tho.

All I said was that I always get an answer. I didn't say anything about your screwy screwdriver.

You seem to have either missed or dodged the point of what i was saying. Your answer is not an answer at all. I was simply using the screwdriver as an example of how I can get the same exact results form an inanimate object as you get from God when applying the same claims. I said nothing of you making mention of the screwdriver.

I'm not trying to achieve anything. All im saying is, you believe what you want, and I'll believe what I want. This is getting pretty monotonous. I'm probably done now.

To magegraywolf, that is not true. I get an answer from God, but you don't get an answer from ur screwdriver.

how do you do that thing on your post where you show what post you are answering? On your post its the "I'm not trying to achieve anything."

Sure I do sometimes it says yes, sometimes it says no, sometimes it's maybe or not yet.
If what I asked for happens then the answer was yes, if not then it was no, if it happens later on then it was maybe/not yet.

There is no way for me to say it wasn't answered. This is exactly what you're doing with God.

Thats not it. God TELLS me what the answer is. He gives me a sign, or just tells me outright. Sometimes I'll pray a prayer in the evening, and, throughout the night, he tells me the answer. I wake up, remember the dream, and sometimes something in the dream is extremely prevelant.

How do you know that you weren't brainwashed?

Because I came to the conclusion that no god exists on my own, inside of a Christian family.

God TELLS me what the answer is. He gives me a sign, or just tells me outright

What kind of sign? And you hear a literal voice?

So your always getting voices in your head or messages in dreams and they always turn out to be exactly that?

So for example you prayed for a cookie and God in either a voice in your head or dream said "yes, you can has a cookie" You will wake up with a cookie or get a cookie that day?

No, not a literal voice. A talk with Him in a dream. About the sign, sometimes I will be reading my Bible, and the answer will be in the text im reading. For instance, if I'm praying wondering if I should witness to a neighbor, I might see "...call upon me, and I will answer thee, and I will show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not.". That verse is a verse of challenge. Do you get what im saying?

I do not see how what you quoted has any bearing on what you were praying about. That's like asking a question and then him responding, "Ask me a question and I will answer" even though you just did.

View it this way: I have called upon Him, and he is answering me. So, whats the next thing in the verse? ..."I will show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not". I have never witnessed to someone in person, and if I did, and they accepted, it would be a great and mighty thing that I've never known before.

What your describing is not an answer but the human pension to seek patterns.

For example if you thought hard about the number 2 you will notice an inordinate amount of examples of the number 2 through out the day. This is because you've prepped your brain to seek that pattern.
