The original "This Thread is Currently About" is back! Yes, it's Count to 100!

HOW TO PLAY

1. Count by ones from 1 to 100 in 100 consecutive posts according to the Core Rules.
2. Restart the count from 1 after:
a. a Moderator (or an Administrator) makes a stopping post (post without counting) if users and Knights are counting..
b. a user or Knight or Warden makes a stopping post (post without counting) if Moderators and Administrators are counting.
c. breaking a core rule, spamming, or cheating.
d. reaching 100.
3. Announce why you restart the count so other counters don't get confused.
NOTE: For the time being, Moderators are allowed to help Users count, so as long as the other rules are observed you do not need to restart the count if you see a mod count. However, if a Moderator makes a stopping post, i.e. a post without counting (not the same as a non-count post since they're technically different teams), it is considered an interruption and the count will restart.

CORE RULES

No mistakes. A count must start from 1 and increase by ones up to 100, save for exceptions noted.
No double-counting. No counter may count two consecutive numbers.
No back-to-back counting. No two counters may alternate for more than three consecutive numbers.
Okay: P1 P2 P1 P3
Not Okay: P1 P2 P1 P2
Okay: P1 P2 reset P1 P2
No editing. No counter may edit their post. If an edit tag shows on a count, the attempt is forfeit.

ADDiTiONAL RULES

No "spamming". Please don't post only the number and please don't post gibberish, either.
Multiple one- or two-word counts may also disqualify a count.
No "cheating". This shouldn't need to be said. Counting to 100 doesn't count if you cheat.
This is an exercise in teamwork, not rule bending.
No "spoiling". Don't mess with the count. Posts should start with the correct number.
Posts with no numbers should be ignored. See also: No non-counts.
Posts with intentional mistakes should be ignored.
No "spilping". If this is your first post in this thread, please post "I'm new and here to count to 100!"
No non-counts. No counter may post without a counting number or make a post without bolding that number if that counting number is not at the start of the post.

COMPLETE SET OF RULES
Please refer to the complete set of rules for additional information and examples of what is valid or invalid.
DiSCUSSiON THREAD
Please also check out the discussion thread for new gameplay or rule proposals or general discussion on the gameplay and rules of "Count to 100".

END GAME

Once you reach 100, you start this Sisyphean task all over again back at 1. Users should notify the Commissioner of the Count (HahiHa) that the count reached 100 and the Commissioner will review it to make sure there were no mistakes or cheating. If there were no mistakes or cheating, then the users who took part in the successful count to 100 will get a shiny new Quest!

38. ^ Maybe you were unlucky. You could get thousands of points for nothing. I only wonder why does it take so long to fix it.
About that dude Andrew... Didn't people see easily through his scheme? Anyway I can imagine the rumour spread out from there.
Apart from some other quacks, there's a guy with the real vocation. Martin Shkreli - clocked up millions on life-saving drugs and all legally.

41. Felt regretted playing King of Towers in hope of earning that "hard" quest. Such a not balanced, blatant ripoff, cash-grabbing, time waster, not f2p-friendly, and copyright violation kind of game. Need more downvotes for that game seriously.

Didn't people see easily through his scheme?

Scientists, yes. Non-scientists (aka, parents that are afraid of their child(ren) havind autism), not really. Anti-vax movement has really become strong in USA because of facebook and anti-vaxx moms not wanting to look up for real info about vaccines, rather than only reading anti-vaxx blogs... These people don't realize how horrible the diseases vaccines prevent really are.

really stupid people here

@Majestic_Fish welcome to planet Earth. Stupidity is the ruling species. Common sense is highly endangered.

And @kailsenpai you are so right! The parents fail to realize that these are the kinds of diseases responsible for hundreds upon thousands of deaths! Smallpox, measles, mumps... *Shudders* Just glad everybody agrees so far. If this becomes an argument, we may have trouble.

45. @AmyClyne Can't give it more than one downvote. But look on the bright site, you're a Queen again... XD

@kalisenpai I checked his case now. On wikipedia it says he took half a million £ from parents' lawyers (the end of "Wakefield v Channel 4 and others" paragraph). Parents whose children allegedly fell ill despite vaccines, so they were sueing MMR vaccine companies. He wasn't developing substitutes, he was bribed to commit a fraud. And those bribes had started two years before he published the article. I didn't hear about the whole thing, so initially I thought it was something happening in the 19 century, I mean nowadays who would believe a business competition by word of mouth?

He was a specialist and his article was convincing, I see that minimum reason why some people did believe two decades ago. But now? I've read that Reddit message - it's hard to believe how irresponsible and stupid parents might be. Vaccines + autism = coincidence. People's greed continues bringing a bloody harvest. I hope that at least the backlash gradually fades over the years.

He wasn't developing substitutes, he was bribed to commit a fraud.

Maybe I explained myself badly. I meant to say that he was going to gain money via a new vaccine (a chicken pox vaccine, if I remember correctly), so first he had to write a paper saying that the current MMR vaccine (which includes chicken pox) made childrem develope autism.
He was a specialist and his article was convincing

Until you read the article. Some children already had autism (before even being vaccinated) and the number of children he used was extremely low (hence, statiscally irrelevant).

"Daughter hit by drunk driver"
"I'm sure the heavy metals in the vaccine made her magnetic and attracted the car"

I pray to God this is all just a vantablack joke.

48. Don't forget, the psychological understanding of autism on children back then was not as well explored as today, as time passes, more cases are being identified as such, which leads to the speculation of vaccine being the culprit when in fact, it was just psychologist expanding their research that (unfortunately) contributed to this buffoonery.

I was thinking of talking about being a fantasy character of your choice, and why? Because I wanted to see how you all think "that" character would suits "them".

49. I recently learned that a friend of mine has never had a vaccine. There was some words used by me when I heard it. However, (supposedly) it's because of their parents, and they're planning to get all the vaccines when then turn 18.

50. HALF-WAY THERE! But @Yellowcat, sounds like your friend is more up to date then his/her parents. And an apology to @kalisenpai for misspelling your name earlier. And @AmyClyne

Because I wanted to see how you all think "that" character would suits "them".

what exactly do you mean?

51. Take into consideration, @Yellowcat, that there are some people that can't get vaccinated (e.g. if their allergic to egg (as albumin is part of vaccines' composition) or if the child has cancer and is going through chemotherapy [there are also other examples]). So maybe your friend suit into this cathegory? I hope. Herd inmunity is important, y'know.

52. @dragonmaster10902 To clarify that, i'll make an example. Let's say: My fantasy character is Captain America. You would then assume that I am very patriotic, morally good, and/or seek to protect freedom. [1]

Every interest has their own meaning. So when you all say out your own fantasy characters, you all will think of the "traits" or "qualities" those characters represent. Usually you want to know why I pick (for example) Captain America, and so you would assume that I am a person with traits in [1]

It might sound complicated but it's only if you ask too many questions why I wanted to be "that" fantasy character.

So, my fantasy character is Forest Elf :3 I love them as archers, so cute in many MMOs <3
