I agree with your post Green12324.

There's one thing that I don't understand is why aren't teenagers using condoms if they want to have sex?, you can have all the sex you want but if you're not ready to have kids then use condoms

Because they can't see what could go wrong they live just for the moment and not consider the reprecussion their actions could have. Also most of the time they don't plan it and you don't carry around condoms everywhere you go.

A few reasons I think. First being, most teens don't take the time to learn how to use them. Then they put them on wrong and they slip off, end up having holes, or another problem. If something like that happens then they might as well not even used it. Then there are the teens who just don't want to use one, how stupid. I'm not even going to start on those religious nuts who don't use them because God doesn't want them to...

That could also ruin the condoms...

I don't know about your school, but my high school health class taught us about... suicide. And that's about it. I guess you can't be healthy if you're dead, but... wow.

Wow. Ours taught a ton of stuff. Mental health, physical health, sex ed, a lot of stuff.

Just take precautions, it's that simple. If you want to have sex and not have a kid use them. If you want a kid, don't use them. Only an idiot would go against those last two sentences. There isn't a GOOD reason not to.

Public school education is overall mediocre, don't let anyone tell you different.

I am in school and the sex ed said DON'T EVER HAVE SEX I don't believe this (it really got more interested in what all the fuss is about)

The problem is that alot of people dont realize hardly anything about sex so we got blundering horny people running around trying to score with someone. I'll admit my high school is full of guys trying to get laid, and they are kinda clueless about sex, so people end up getting pregnant. I think people rely to much on Birth Control alone for safe sex.

I think if more people wore condoms and took better precautions, they wouldn't have a baby. Plus . . .we should all just wait to have sex. It's not a big deal . . .

That's what you say now... but when it finally happens it will be. That's what make these things come about.

*is resisting the urge to make immature sex joke*

Anyway, they happen now, and they'll always happen. Some teenagers are just too horny to stick to inactivity or masturbation until they know how to use a condom.

My schools have all been really good. I guess that's not the case everywhere else though...

I am in school and the sex ed said DON'T EVER HAVE SEX I don't believe this (it really got more interested in what all the fuss is about)

Wow, that's horrible sex ed. Mine basically took a normal approach to it. Sure, we'll want to have sex sometimes, but here's why we shouldn't. And if we really have to, take these precautions. That's the teacher though. Guest speakers had to follow Illinois laws and take an abstinance only approach. Which I don't think really makes an impression on the kids. It's like "yeah, you're an adult. Easy for you to say". While if a practical approach is taken the kids will actually understand that they once had to make these decisions as well.

I think people rely to much on Birth Control alone for safe sex.

And the problem is, girls don't really know how to take it half the time. They think that if they take it the day they have sex they'll be fine. If it's not taken everyday at a certain time there's not much of a chance it's going to make a difference. All in all, teens don't know how to use contraceptives. Which is another thing our class went over. The teacher basically explained how to use a lot of them, which was definitely useful.

It's not a big deal . . .

Agreed. I don't even want a girlfriend, let alone sex. <.< Then again, I'm a loner a lot of the time. I mean I have my group of friends, but I only have one that I've know for a long time. I've only talked to like three other friends this whole summer, for like 10 minutes on Facebook. So I guess if I was into hanging out with them and stuff I might be more tempted to want to have sex. I guess it depends just what kind of person you are.

IPwn . . . is it a big deal to you? Did it finally happen to you? I am just saying that if more teens were smart about what they did . . .then pregnancies wouldn't occur. Anyway, if a girl gets pregnant, it happened for a reason.

Waaaah ;_; cry me a river. No one will worry about you getting anyone pregnant until your 40. Thus, it's not realavent to this topic. Go join a club, a sport, a job, or a church. Go out into the sunlight and away from your computer screen.

Back to the topic, I still say that Teens CAN'T get condoms. One, most don't have any money. Two, unless you like to walk miles to the store, you can't get there. The location most kids have sex at are school, in cars, or in some of the most unusual places. Teens have a lot of hormons and they don't always think with their heads.
