I'm not rich. I know that. I'm going to be a teacher. I will never be massively wealthy. But I got to make a choice with my life. I got to choose to become a teacher. I didn't need the government to tell me what to do (another negative of Socialism).
It isn't fair to eradicate the ability for one to accomplish his or her own dreams
I think you guys are thinking wrongly of the big guys. They don't give a shit about you.
For one, someone with a disease ant get really work.
Someone who has parents who abuse them do not get rich. No, it does not encourage them Total, they just want to kill themselves and get away from life.
Someone who cant afford the dam university costs cant get rich.
Someone who doesn't own a business and doesn't deceive others cant get rich. Not everyone can make a business...
Plus you need an idea for a business, those business ideas are precious and only very few get them -- luck discovers them.
Being a doctor or any of those high jobs takes lot more then hard work...takes money.
You think someone living in poverty can just go be a doctor. Oh yea if they weren't lazy bums.
___
And why does it matter if people can get richer but they don't. Now the working class. The middle class. Sure there life is ok and they have money to enjoy freedom. But there are the richer who can do whatever the hell they want, and there is the poorer who cant.
How? Everyone cant be rich! Understand that! You all say this but I dont think any of you are rich. You tell me, how come?
You better believe that everyone has that opportunity. Even those who live in poverty still have the chance at an education and can be aided through college.
I think you guys are thinking wrongly of the big guys. They don't give a **** about you.
Neither does a communist government, lol.
For one, someone with a disease ant get really work.
In a socialist state, those who are unfit to work, are restricted from working.
Someone who has parents who abuse them do not get rich. No, it does not encourage them Total, they just want to kill themselves and get away from life.
I can think of many famous writers and musicians that grew up with abusive parents and lived in poverty. Most of the famous artists grew up in very poor environments. "Whatever doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger"
Someone who cant afford the dam university costs cant get rich.
College loans take care of people who cannot afford schooling and do not have scholarships. People pay them back once they get a good job in result of their education.
Someone who doesn't own a business and doesn't deceive others cant get rich. Not everyone can make a business...
My mother and father are teachers who have been earning an honest (not to mention modest) living; their net worth is now quite pretty.
Plus you need an idea for a business, those business ideas are precious and only very few get them -- luck discovers them.
There are new ideas and inventions being introduced all of the time. The beauty of a free country (*cough* capitalist) is that you can create new things and share your ideas without the government's consent!
Being a doctor or any of those high jobs takes lot more then hard work...takes money.
You bet it takes money, medical school is expensive and you're right. But a doctors salary pays that off in 2 years tops. The more schooling you have, chances are the more money you'll make!
You think someone living in poverty can just go be a doctor. Oh yea if they weren't lazy bums.
Yes, loans - also anyone who wants to become a doctor receives a special scholarship in some states.
And why does it matter if people can get richer but they don't. Now the working class. The middle class. Sure there life is ok and they have money to enjoy freedom. But there are the richer who can do whatever the hell they want, and there is the poorer who cant.
In a communist state, you cannot have that ability to be rich and "Do whatever the hell you want". Sure, not everyone becomes rich for one reason or another - but everyone has that opportunity; all it takes is work.
I guess I will just put my full two cents in and then I am done with this thread.
Socialism - The reason I don't like socialism is because it is unfair. Yes, it looks fair since everyone makes the same money. However, why would people even want to work hard? What do you think would happen with the medical, police, and fire department forces? I doubt they would be working their tails off. Kids would not even try in school. So, in about 5-10 years, we would have very few doctors and other jobs that require years of college. What would they do if they can't find enough doctors? They would just look for people who are unskilled in that job and who don't even really want to do the job. Now we are being taken care of by people who could care less. Eventually people get fed up and riot. Wars break out and chaos comes.
All in all, socialism is a domino effect. You make a big change like that and it just knocks down everything related.
Capitalism - I believe this is the most fair. This does not make it totally fair but life is not always fair. Basically, we all get the same shot right when we are born. People can have bad parents but it is up to them to still try hard in school. The reason it should give them motivation is so they can go to college far away. If you get low grades, you deserve a low paying job. Don't even tell me we are not all geniuses. I know a kid who would get straight D's but get A's on the tests. The reason is because he is lazy and would not hand in work. We are all given a brain and it is up to each person to decide what they want to do with it. College costs are high but there are loans, financial aid, and programs to help pay for them.
Overall, we all get the same shot in life. It doesn't matter who you are. You just have to try. Also, you don't have to be rich to have a good life. I am middle class and I have a good life.
Oh, then I'll put my 2 cents in on that one: In any society not build on the government control (free society), there must be an economical note for payment. Instead of life being all about government control, it's formatted around money that you can earn and use it however you would like. You see, it may not seem like it, but money is a way of freedom!
For god's sakes The USA profits from the third world countries.
...You have no idea how much generiosity the usa has.. It is about 10x more than the next leading nation. We gave away so much money it put us in debt and you think we are profiting off of poor nations? What are we? Communists? Aha I see now Socialism is kindof like communism!
okay look at this: You have enough money to get a giant new flatscreen tv when your country becomes communistic. Now you have to give away all that money and take that privledge that you worked hard for is gone. Then you can never get anything better than what you have now or what the government assigns you, which would be most likely poor items worth very little.
