Personally I compare Turkey's denial of the incident to the holocaust, except Germany admitted that it happened and has taken steps to rectify this grievous atrocity inasmuch as is possible. I think if Turkey were to do the same it would go a long way toward repairing the image of her in the eyes of the world.

Okay but let me get one thing straight, we did not take out rifles and start shooting Armenians at sight. We deported them from our country and many died on the road, as it was hot and we did not provide them enough to survive the whole way. I know that it was a terrible mistake on behalf of the Ottoman Empire, but then again, they were not a democracy.
As a step of entering the E.U. we will over time apologize about this, one way or the other.

Not in all cases. But then the NAZIs didn't shoot all the Jews on sight either. They sent them to die in concentration camps. They brutalized their women and children. They worked the men to death, literally. Which is exactly what the Turks did to the Armenians. Perhaps you should use the link I posted earlier and do some reading. It's quite disturbing how the genocide took place. Oh, and it's from American, British, German, and Russian accounts, as well as Armenians. So it's an unbiased account, unlike what you will get from Turkish sources.
You say this a lot when talking about the bad things that your nation did in the past as if it has some bearing on anything. Germany wasn't a democracy in WWII. That doesn't absolve them of responsibility any more than it absolves Turkey of responsibility of the Armenian Genocide.
A nation's political system has no application when discussing atrocities and crimes against humanity. That's like saying Germany wasn't responsible for the Holocaust because it was a dictatorship. There is no logical foundation for your argument and it has no bearing on the situation.
Yes as I already said I understand what you mean and even though the genocide may not be completely proven on some points I do agree that we owe at least one apology in regards to that event. That is really a historical matter though and since Armenia isn't in the European Union I do not think that it would influence our entry that much, unless there is some E.U. rule about admitting crimes, which I think there might be.

Well Tomer having made such a mistake on his 690th post is kind of a bad example. At least I'm learning how to not sound like what you described. All I intended to do was represent my country because people thought it was a Sandwich, a Communist Country, a Desert and a member of the Axis. I hope you see my reason in entering the thread -_-

Actually his comment was not bigoted or ignorant in any way. He was referring to the large Muslim population and the current difficulties with the Jews and how most Jews are made to feel unwelcome in your nation. Seems perfectly relevant to me.

That's great. Everyone should be willing to represent their nation. However every time I posted a bit of factual evidence showing some of the less desirable aspects of your country you exaggerated your position, made demonstrably false statements which you attempted to pass off as truths and belittled or insulted anyone who had an opposing viewpoint.

As I said, you have crossed into the territory of being irritating.
