Dont forget the massive number of people living in the centre of anatolia who certainly arent western looking or rich.

You don't have to be rich to be in the E.U. you just have to be a good and obedient country.

I live in Belgium, right next to France, and I can tell you that Sarkozy is doing so purely because he is racist and dislikes the whole muslim community.

Well which is it? Just yesterday you posted that you were in Turkey, now you are saying you are in Belgium. And you were educated in England and America. I'm having trouble following the timeline you put forth and honestly your stories don't match up and it seems there are obvious exaggerations or mistruths about yourself.

Which is why Turkey is not in the EU

Walker, get with the times. 14 year olds are capable of traveling the world without moving from there seat, they are also vastly experienced in many political discussions and give 'facts', not 'opinions'. Silly walker.

Apparently. Guess I overlooked the recent studies in the American Academy of Sciences Journal. Perhaps I need to follow emerging scientific studies more closely.

Oh and I recently realized my recent medical condition. You see, every time I read one of SosolidClaws posts I suddenly broke out in hives, suffered from congestion, and began sneezing uncontrollably. And then it dawned on me. It really is a very simple explanation. I'm allergic to bullsh*t! But I'm on a rigorous regimen of antihistamines now and that seems to have the worst of the symptoms under control. :hew::

Oh, and toward the bottom of that same page is where you lead people to believe that you are in fact in Turkey, just in case anyone else wanted to see for themselves that you are, in fact, full of sh*t. The only reason I even bother pointing out the discrepancies in your posts is to hopefully keep your ignorant opinions from influencing the minds of people who don't stop and think to double check the source.

What the hell I never said i lived in Turkey, I am there right now for summer vacations only. I was born and lived in Brussels for my whole life, and in case some don't know what that is it's the Capital of Belgium, the little thingy north of France ^^

I challenged you to COPY PASTE the exact sentence stating that I live there. You failed to do so and I see that as a surrender from your part of the argument.

Sarkozy isnt a racist. Hes of immigrant stock himself (hungarian i think). He is just displaying the french love of the nation state. They dont like any big religious groups to be involved in the public sphere, including islam.

And beeteedubs, i live in britain right next to france.

Turkey has been accepted to be geographically eligible, trust me on that.

Any country in the world is potentially eligible. ALl they have to do is be accepted by the existing members. But turkeys geographical position is certainly a reason why they arent in the eu already.

You don't have to be rich to be in the E.U. you just have to be a good and obedient country.

Define good and obedient. Obedient to who? The whole point of the eu is to be a collaboration between european countriese, not rich and powerful ones ordering people about. Besides, the greeks showed how you dont actually have to be obedient to be a member, since they flagrantly disobeyed eu economic regulations and were caught downright lying to the commission about the state of their finances.

That's kind of ironic, I have visited over 42 different countries, maybe it's not a way of life that you Americans are used to but in Europe we travel A LOT and from a very young age.

No, it is mainly it's religion, no muslim country has ever been accepted into the E.U. and it will be a big step for Diversity if Turkey does get in.

Sorry I didn't clear that up. I was reffering to being obedient to the rules and guidelines put forth by the E.U. and the Parliament's decisions.
But I guess what is more important is being eligible to enter by means of having the necessary adjustements done.

Yeah it really is fantastic to spend your summer vacation I think Europe is extremely lucky to have our nation, an awesome touristic environment without any wars.
