What are you talking about?? over 90% of my friends in Turkey are Jewish and so many Jewish tourists come here, who's El Al?

I also have a whole bunch of Jewish friends and indeed tourism in Turkey is probably one of the most numbered destinations for Jews in the summer. El Al is an Isreali Airline and that rule has only been established since the conflicts with Gaza started. It's a security measure which I agree is a bit unnecessary and exaggerated.

Since were talking politics please differ between israilis and jews.

El Al is an Isreali Airline

The only. It was the main Airline that traveled from Israel to Turkey by air.

It's a security measure

Explain.

Simple solution, travel to Athens and take a plane to Istanbul, not a big deal. Or come by car?

Through what warring country? Syria? Or Iraq?

It costs more money. It's simpler just to go to Athens.

Whichever you want, at your own peril.

Or just stay in Tel Aviv, and when it comes to money it shouldn't be a problem for you jk

The point is that Israel is landlocked by enemies, except if you plan on going to Africa.

That is really a historical matter though and since Armenia isn't in the European Union I do not think that it would influence our entry that much, unless there is some E.U. rule about admitting crimes, which I think there might be.

Its not an official rule. Its more of an unwritten one. It goes without saying the eu doesnt condone countries which dont admit to well documented war crimes and genocide.

Aside from that turkey shouldnt be eligible for geographical reasons. Turkey is where europe ends.

Turkey may not be fully in Europe geographically but our Western way of life and modernization along with huge economical and demographical advancements make us eligible to enter. This was already debated with the European Union countries and they ALL agreed that Turkey was eligible to enter if they fixed everything that was stated.

Aditionally in many many World Maps it is classified in Europe.

Also may I add that Russia used to be thought as where Europe ends but it is now considered European...

So Geographically we have NULL problems.

I will also add to this, that Turkey is a CRITICAL TACTICAL point for access to the Middle East and it's many issues. That is one reason Nato and E.U. wants us in.

Turkey isn't middle eastern in it's politics, it just starts wars with middle eastern countries. Middle eastern politics are baised on a &quotrosses of trying to start negotations prosseses" smokescreen, or "Insufficient evidence to prove the US is being nuked" smokescreen ect. While the negotations, finding proof, ect. take years to finish, and usually fail. The only country that actually listens to the US/UN/EU/NATO ect. is Israel. The only sounds that actually change something come from the opposing parties and your neighbors.

I know that Turkey isn't Middle Eastern, that's what I was trying to prove to Woody, thanks for backing me up.

And by Critical tactical point I meant Geographically, as that is what we were discussing with Woody.

Turkey is European from the Inside but it's apppearances lean more towards Middle-Eastern.

Yes that is rather sad, shame on the rest for creating the only known form of consistent terrorism on the planet.

The coast of your country perhaps. Dont forget the massive number of people living in the centre of anatolia who certainly arent western looking or rich.

This was already debated with the European Union countries and they ALL agreed that Turkey was eligible to enter if they fixed everything that was stated.

There arent a certain set of boxes you have to tick. And no the issuehasnt been resolved by the eu members. Sarkozy and the french are dead set against it for exactly this reason.

Also may I add that Russia used to be thought as where Europe ends but it is now considered European...

Russia isnt trying to join the eu. And only the few western cities of st petersburg and moscow are considered remotely european.

I live in Belgium, right next to France, and I can tell you that Sarkozy is doing so purely because he is racist and dislikes the whole muslim community.

And no the issuehasnt been resolved by the eu members.

Turkey has been accepted to be geographically eligible, trust me on that.
