America seems to get involved in other countries affairs, is this the right thing to do when we have problems of our own, or do we need to control the out side world to ensure our own safety?

As to the original post, America is trying to run the world. They have become thaat nosty. Americas policies were better off after WWI and WWII -- keep some presence, control as much economy as you want without dropping bombs all over the place, save some cash, and party. We're burning money in Iraq when we don't want to, what kind of BS is that? Take the morals out and look at it fiscally, we're doing nothing but helping to improve Bush's wallet -- We're wasting money on something we feel we don't need, something that won't help America out. Looking at Iraq, I believe he is. [Barely, though] Looking at Afghanistan, he is failing -- he's adding MORE troops, and aiding war in Afghanistan is much more difficult seeing as its landlocked. We're wasting fuel that could lower our gas prices so we can send men to 'invade' (or whatever the hell they're doing) a country that has terrain so treacherous it hasn't been conquered since Alexander the Great. Idk why we're there, we send out billions in foreign aid yearly. A great example could even be through our taxes -- Why the heck are we sending 7 Million dollars a day to Israel? We send off 3.5 Million and 2 Million to Pakistan and Egypt -- DAILY. Whats wrong with us? I wouldn't mind if 50 Billion dollars were thrown into improving OUR country. Instead we're building the rest of the world, and not to say that they are out to kill us -- but simply put -- they are not America.

I don't know about Pakistan and Egypt, but the money sent to Israel isn't for "development". Its being used for the military occupation of the Pakistanis.
Military occupation of the Palestinians* Pakistan is the country below Afghanistan, relatively overcrowded but a fun place (I'm from there ). It was used by America to fight the soviets and give way for the Taliban to emerge, and is being used by America now to fight the Taliban.
Also, Drace, it is going for development. If I pile my money into your military, it can A) Go to wherever it wants because I have it in my wallet and B) I can develop my own military. Its not just all guns and stuff, rather large constructional buildings and satellites that greatly improve telecommunications within a country (not just for military purposes) are constructions that funding like that could easily do.
America sends (documented) 10 Billion yearly to Egypt, 20 Billion Yearly to Pakistan, and <insert unknown number here> to Israel. We give out loads of foreign aid. I'm not here to argument about why and why not, but the fact that we're giving it out in a crisis like this. (Some may not call it a crisis, but whatever -- no point in discussing BS. Fact is we need cash) So inevitably we are working on helping out others, which is nice, but I've yet to see a poor man in debt lend me some cash.

You know that Israel is one of the world's leading Arms dealers -- and they train every single person with your average rifle and send them each to boot camp? Not so, Pakistan has no ongoing conflict at the moment with India. India does cause its own instability, they used to and probably will want to control the entire region. They have all control over poorer Bangladesh, but they can't just wage war with Pakistan and they're part of the reason the Bhuddists act up in Tibet and the Afghan Taliban are moving into Pakistan. Money from India is useful. Nothing by Americans, though.
Last skirmish to date was before the increase in foreign aid to Pakistan. For the most part, whatever is being sent is going to corrupt leaders/hopefully some war funding against the internal Taliban threat. I find it funny why we can't spend that money to support our own soldiers fighting in the Talibani homeland of Afghanistan.
