Since the previous one was locked I really liked that thread. Original is here.
I've found this website that translates a single phrase up to 54 times, to another language and than back to english. Because translations aren't often entirely correct, the original phrase can be something completely different from what you wrote to begin with.
Click this link and type in a phrase, than share on this thread what the result was!
Original text: "Once upon a time, I ate a pie. The pie didn't like me, and ate a cake, which was a lie. Then the pie lied about eating the cake that was a lie, turning into a cake that was a lie. Then everything blew up."
...56 translations later we get:
"I do not want to eat cake cake cake lie, Baby if you eat the way for RAM"
"As I walk, I see you. You smiled back, but I turned my head away from you. As I walk back, I forgot about you. You never noticed, that I have forgotten you." - got it off from a book to."
midway: "Come on, I understand. Smiled again, but a headache for you. I forgot to mention. I do not know what I forgot." "Now, I understand. He again, but smiled for her headache. I forgot to mention. I know I forgot." "Now we know, he is losing his head, with a smile, I forgot."
after: "Now we know, he missed the start, with a smile, I forget."
then I decided to translate it "again" for 56 times -A-;
midway: "We forget that we already know that the authority has been lost and laughed." "We forget that we already know what they will lose the Mole Hill." what's a Mole Hill? "Back to ENGLISH : Of course we are forgetting. THAI : Back to ENGLISH : We will forget TURKISH : Biz unutacak Back to ENGLISH : We will remember"
thai makes things simpler. and turkish just........ opposite?
