The original "This Thread is Currently About" is back! Yes, it's Count to 100!

HOW TO PLAY

1. Count by ones from 1 to 100 in 100 consecutive posts according to the Core Rules.
2. Restart the count from 1 after:
a. a Moderator (or an Administrator) makes a stopping post (post without counting) if users and Knights are counting..
b. a user or Knight or Warden makes a stopping post (post without counting) if Moderators and Administrators are counting.
c. breaking a core rule, spamming, or cheating.
d. reaching 100.
3. Announce why you restart the count so other counters don't get confused.
NOTE: For the time being, Moderators are allowed to help Users count, so as long as the other rules are observed you do not need to restart the count if you see a mod count. However, if a Moderator makes a stopping post, i.e. a post without counting (not the same as a non-count post since they're technically different teams), it is considered an interruption and the count will restart.

CORE RULES

No mistakes. A count must start from 1 and increase by ones up to 100, save for exceptions noted.
No double-counting. No counter may count two consecutive numbers.
No back-to-back counting. No two counters may alternate for more than three consecutive numbers.
Okay: P1 P2 P1 P3
Not Okay: P1 P2 P1 P2
Okay: P1 P2 reset P1 P2
No editing. No counter may edit their post. If an edit tag shows on a count, the attempt is forfeit.

ADDiTiONAL RULES

No "spamming". Please don't post only the number and please don't post gibberish, either.
Multiple one- or two-word counts may also disqualify a count.
No "cheating". This shouldn't need to be said. Counting to 100 doesn't count if you cheat.
This is an exercise in teamwork, not rule bending.
No "spoiling". Don't mess with the count. Posts should start with the correct number.
Posts with no numbers should be ignored. See also: No non-counts.
Posts with intentional mistakes should be ignored.
No "spilping". If this is your first post in this thread, please post "I'm new and here to count to 100!"
No non-counts. No counter may post without a counting number or make a post without bolding that number if that counting number is not at the start of the post.

COMPLETE SET OF RULES
Please refer to the complete set of rules for additional information and examples of what is valid or invalid.
DiSCUSSiON THREAD
Please also check out the discussion thread for new gameplay or rule proposals or general discussion on the gameplay and rules of "Count to 100".

END GAME

Once you reach 100, you start this Sisyphean task all over again back at 1. Users should notify the Commissioner of the Count (HahiHa) that the count reached 100 and the Commissioner will review it to make sure there were no mistakes or cheating. If there were no mistakes or cheating, then the users who took part in the successful count to 100 will get a shiny new Quest!

10. Direct conversion of matter into energy, beautiful. The whole ship converted into a beam of energy if I got it right. Maybe aliens could change us back.

If we would rather stay as matter… Let’s say we’ve got a force field on the hulk, but what with the acceleration? With 1000 g we (spaceship and squashed pulp inside) would accelerate in about 299792458/9807/60/60 = 8.5 hours.
The probes? Please…

11. You know, I actually think that teleportation would be easier to do than this.

13. ^ I bet you understand more from this nerd talk than I from your bio-chem stuff

Am I the only pessimist here? I wouldn’t trust natural Einstein-Rosen bridges, and when technology comes into play, I doubt there will be target portals in the unexplored.

We can’t skip accelerating in spacecraft propulsion. I’d go with anti-gravity field inside the spaceship.

14. We might have to belay that, PLGuy, since we didn't get the inertial dampers I ordered. They shipped us a set of inertial dampeners by mistake. These just convert motion into sogginess, so of course we can't return them since the package is water damaged.

16. @kalisenpai names were in science(-fi) books/movies, but how it works is a black magic XD Welp, the instructor said don’t take off spacesuit and everything’s gonna be alright.

@FishPreferred Not good! Isn’t the spacesuit water-resistant, though? I mean people get impatient, it seems we’re gonna build that bridge through black holes anyway. Captain @armorplayergc If I may ask, are we taking off? And ehm… where?

17. Oh man... I forgot a small detail... we actually need a lot of energy to MAKE the bridge itself... *sigh*

And we can't calculate that energy accurately, we know that [invented formula incoming]

E = ξ₀*c³*d²,

We know that c =~ 3x10^8 m/s
The distance between us and the planet is roughly d =~ 1.04x10^17 m

However, the problem is that our measurements for this constant ξ₀ are terribly innacurate.

Measurements for ξ₀ vary from 7.93x10^-49 Js³m⁻⁵ to 2.18x10^-40 Js³m⁻⁵... ugh

Engineer @sciller45 , can you try to determine the value of ξ₀ accurately?

Well... meanwhile, I guess we should try to take off and gain some speed, it's gonna take over 8 hours to get close to light speed anyway...

Pilot PLGuy, you can do the countdown.

18. Wooot, a pilot??? Until now I thought I’m a funky interstellar tourist.
The destination is the center of our galaxy to build the bridge I take it? Should be circa 27 900 years from here. Let’s see…

Alright, I’ve no idea what I’m doing: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5… *everything shakes and we're taking off from the launch pad*

20. Status after the take-off: Kali, the molecular biochemist, prevented a fatal virus called B2B from spreading among the crew. The rudder was steered towards the closest black hole (3K years), instead of Milky Way’s center. Inertial dampeners work flawlessly. While the ship accelerates beyond the light speed, soggy and flappy organisms counter the gargantuan gravity.

21. Sorry about that. I had to go empty the canister. Also, I might've clogged the space toilet. Sorry about that.

Look, if you want me to measure ξ, you're gonna have to compensate for Cosmic Background Radiation. And trust me (I'm an engineer), warping without ξ will be all but pleasant when we fall into a black hole. Or burn up in a red giant. Or smash into a hot jupiter. Or smash into a super-earth. Or exit the Universe.

Right, so, uh, do that and I'll go find a use for space-waste that doesn't include fertilization. Let's just hope no one flies into a brown hunk of ice. That'd be a real sh***y situation. Get it? No? Right, uh, I'm-a go fetch the plunger.

22. I received a message from a fellow spaceship passing by. Captain: “We’ve just captured a rare brown comet. Our team is excited by its unprecedented smell and texture. We’re on the way back to the nearest space lab to study body’s composition. I sense we’ve discovered both a scientific breakthrough and priceless exhibit of American Museum of Natural History. Over and out.”

23. Yay! I just completed another insane quest. ^^

And, after analyzing that comet, I'm 99.99% sure that it's chocolate.
...
Can we eat it?
