Welcome to the Art Skills Competition 2014/2015, or "ASC" for short. It is a contest to gather willing artists from the forums to compete in a friendly test of their skills and reward the best of their work each round.
Rounds will take place each month, the last day of the month will be the final cutoff for any entries. The judging will take place the first week of the following month.
___________________________________________________________________
Competition Guidelines :
1. The entry must be 100% original material.
2. Each round lasts for a month; closing date is at the end of that month.
3. Submissions should be relevant to the current month's theme. (See thread's title)
4. Keep posts resolutions within reason and if you must have a larger resolution, link it to the entry.
5. Entries can be created in any medium, please note that it will be appreciated if hand drawn entries are cropped to contain only the intended work.
6. Winners will be announced by the judge of the competition at the end of each round; the results are final and non-debatable.
7. The winner of a round will have the right to choose the next theme; if this takes too long, the judge will choose one instead.
8. All participants of each round will receive a Merit for their hard work; the winner of each round will receive the Armor Games "Artist Quest"!
Round 1: Knight
This months theme will be dedicated to creating a knight representing that of Armor Games, it is a non official character to try and stir the imaginations of artists and viewers. The artist should endeavor to embody Armor Games in a Knightly character.
Ok, I will try again. The scan erase some details, as the crystal star and this kind of stuff. I take the two themes and create this draw that i call... Crystal Night (forget that the crystal that make the moon is like a sun).
Grats, @Koshionos! But how you knew about the calendar☺? I was without a full white paper in the moment I do that and take a calendar of last semester, he,he.
I choose... Extraterrestrial Life! What would life look like outside our world? Our Galaxy, even!? I want to see what fantastic life you would expect to see on an alien world!
The chameloid, a portmanteau of chameleon and humanoid. Try spotting him among the tall, white grasses. I also started putting my signature (see if you can spot it!) in my drawings.
@apldeap123, interesting choice! I can picture it now:
A camouflaged being in a bright world of huge expanses of white grass and expansive mountain ranges, one would think it would be a cold world, but it is indeed quite arid and warm!
@shoeminor, your appears to be what would happen if we introduced coffee to an alien race, making them hyperactive and rapid, it would become quite irritating conversing with these energetic extraterrestrials!
It is a drawing where an ET has landed on earth in the morning. It has met a few people sipping their morning coffee (The people are not seen in the picture). The people not knowing what they creature was, treated it as a guest. When it could not understand what the were sipping and was somewhat confused/amused, a person wrote the word COFFEE on a sheet of paper and showed it to the ET which it interpreted in a wrong way and spoke out in terms of characters. This picture is also hinting that the good gifts of nature to mankind, like coffee is only for us and not for those who have left their nature (planet) and have come in search of another. (I somewhat represented this by showing that it has no mouth and runs on electricity. So, it does not require food/beverages)
